We had a great experience here! I got the Kua Gai and it was fantastic, and I have never had it before, it was a very, very big portion for how much it was! ($17) and I believe it was worth every penny! The one drawback is that they didn’t do any substitutions which I feel like they definitely could’ve done because I didn’t like calamari, but other than that the chicken was tender. The noodles were so bouncy and yummy. The ingredients tasted really fresh and the service was very fast! Honestly, the only complaint was that the service felt a bit rushed because it was so crowded but the server was very friendly despite this! Overall, I really liked my experience and I would definitely go back!!! The dish I ordered is not a very common one on normal Thai restaurant menus so I would definitely go back.

I visited Berkeley and was looking for something to eat when I came across this Thai restaurant. The food was really nice! It was my first time trying Yen Ta Fo, super tasty! I also had Pad Thai and Thai tea, both delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Great experience overall.

One of the best Thai food! The 30 minute wait was worth it. Had grilled chicken satay and Tom Kha soup for starters. For main course we had Spicy fried rice, Red curry and Pad kee Mao. All of them were excellent.

FARMHOUSE KITCHEN THAI CUISINE REVIEWS

I love this farmhouse kitchen! I’ve been to all the locations except Berkeley, and my colleagues and I finally got to try this one. OMG—the food was amazing, and the portions were perfect! Everything was incredibly delicious; we all ended up in a food coma, haha, but no regrets! Every dish was fantastic, and the sauces were packed with flavor. The service was impressively fast—our food arrived right after we ordered, which was a huge plus! We also made a reservation in advance, and there was plenty of street parking available.

Went to have lunch with friends and family on new year day. We made a reservation through opentable but wanted to add more people but the system didn’t allow us so we emailed the restaurant directly and the manager helped us got the 10-seat table we want. The restaurant is on the second and third floor of the building so you’ll need to walk up the stairs but they also have a small 2-person elevator for disabled people or someone who has a hard time walking. The restaurant decor is pretty nice. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. And the food is delicious. We would love to go back and try other food on the menu.

Lovely atmosphere and fresh, delicious dishes are always to be found at Farmhouse Kitchen. We discovered the restaurant when looking for a vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurant for a team dinner over the holidays and it didn’t disappoint. The dessert platter was great, but the dish we ordered twice was the vegan spring rolls with chili peanut sauce, so good. Upscale, so definitely more than your regular prices, but a lovely splurge in Berkeley that feels more like SF.

THAI BASIL REVIEWS

Thai Basil is a Berkeley classic. It offers a wide variety of Thai food, and has many vegetarian/vegan options. The food is always very tasty and fresh and incredibly affordable as well. Sometimes the wait times are long-ish, but trust me it's definitely worth the wait!! Oh and also, make sure to have cash because they only take cash. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to people who want high quality food at affordable prices.

Most delicious food. Loved when I was Berkeley grad student and love it 20 years later.
