This place was fantastic! Went here on a Saturday night and sat outside. Service was lovely. We ordered the Amish chicken as an appetizer and that was a great idea. It was wonderful! The smoked flavor and the juicy chicken was outstanding. I HIGHLY recommend the CARROT CAKE for dessert. It was better than most bakeries and they make this in house! I have been craving it ever since. The American Dream sandwich was FANTASTIC. It had bacon, cheese, brisket and Texas BBQ sauce. It came together beautifully. I will get this exact sandwich again and the carrot cake next time I’m back. My friend got the Yardbird and he said it was excellent. Definitely recommend this place!!

We were in Detroit for a baseball game and we met some friends here. Wow! What a great meal. Everyone cleaned their plates. The burnt ends were fantastic and the brisket was a hit. The restaurant is clean and roomy. I will definitely be going back. The front door is a bit of a puzzle. I've included a picture. Four stars!!!

Excellent restaurant. I tried each of the sauces on my Yardbird sandwich. All were wonderful. The coleslaw was a nice mix of sweet and sour.

Joanna is the reason why I will be coming back. It was my first time here, hospitality, professionalism and courtesy was awesome. Can't wait to try the food. You have the right person working the. Register, joanne was very professional, very pleasant, my wife's crazy about her.

I ordered the shrimp Alfredo it was super good and flavorful. Full of shrimp and chicken, and the Alfredo sauce was perfect. The service was excellent, we got a home delivery. Came pretty quick and food still hot! Thank you! I highly recommend this place!!

Been going here for over 10 years and never been unsatisfied. Food is great and the staff treats you like family. Definitely recommend if you’re hungry as there is an variety of foods to choose from.

I absolutely love uptown I’m a chef so when I don’t feel like cooking myself uptown soul food is the BEST in Michigan Hands down!!!!!!!! Stop WHAT YALL DOING AND COME GET YOU SOME DIVINE SOUL FOOD.

Ordered my food today. Waited 40 minutes for my order. The young lady at register ask me what I ordered and wanted to retake our order after the older lady had already taken our order.

I've been going to Uptown Ribs for over 2 decades and they never let me down with all of their food. The ribs and tips, turkey and chicken meals are delicious. And don't get me started on all the tasty sides.
