3 Best Bridal Shops in Cedar Rapids, IA

As a plus-size bride with a short, 10-month engagement, I was stressed about finding a bridal shop where I could try on beautiful dresses. Meeting Erynn immediately eased my concerns. I had a wonderful experience trying on many gowns. Erynn was professional and never pressured me. She encouraged me to take my time and find the perfect dress, listening carefully to my preferences and helping me find the right one. I ultimately ordered a custom Casablanca gown. A few months later, I decided to add custom detachable sleeves, and Erynn successfully arranged for the designer to create them. On my pickup day, I tried on the dress with the sleeves, and it was exactly what I envisioned. We also tried on several veils, and I found the perfect one to complement my gown. Embody and Erynn were fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. In short, they were kind, professional, and inclusive.

I would recommend Embody 100000/10 if I could! I was so nervous about wedding dress shopping as I was nervous there would be limited options, but I got to try on so many dresses at Embody! I would say it was hard to choose but I had this dress pinned on Pinterest and when Erynn saw, she pulled it instantly and once I put it on, I knew!! All of the other dresses were amazing and beautiful, but this was the one for me! I found that the dresses and veils were appropriately priced. I love that Erynn's shop is open and inclusive to everyone! It meant so much that it was an openly LGBTQ accepting place. It was such an affirming, comfortable, and amazing experience.

I can't say enough good things about Erynn and Embody Bridal. Being plus-sized I was anxious and nervous to go dress shopping but Erynn made me feel so beautiful, loved, and welcomed. My mom and I had the greatest day. I travelled from IL to tey on a very specific dress and I'd travel 10 times over.

We were travel through Iowa and saw this cute pink house and saw the sign and quickly pulled in. My daughter’s senior prom was coming up. We got there and they weren’t quite open but they let us in. So our experience started from there, everyone was so genuinely nice and honest. My daughter tried on a few dresses and none fit her right. We were just about to call it quits, but one of the girls came walking to the dressing room with this beautiful colored dress. As soon as I seen it I knew it was it! The young lady knew exactly what would look good on her and I knew we were leaving with this dress!! Everyone working that day was so helpful and this was one of the best experiences we have had in the last 3 yrs of dress shopping.

While I didn't end up purchasing my dress from Hopes, I feel compelled to write a review still due to the absolutely amazing service! Debbie was phenomenal and made my girls and I feel so important from the get-go! She was knowledgeable, fun and the absolute best!!! To top things off, Diane (owner) came out and sat down with me and truly made me feel like I was the only person in the store and showed her true interest in my future wedding and selecting the best dress. I can't say enough kind things about Hopes! They are wonderful and you can't go wrong with them.

Highly recommend coming to Hopes Bridal. Moriah was amazing and so helpful and really makes you feel beautiful in everything you try on. The environment is refreshing with how friendly and loving they all are. This is just a wonderful experience overall, ran by an amazing group of people as well.
