For our wedding day we had Cake Works for our dessert table and wedding cake! We got a 2 tiered cake with a passionfruit layer and a guava layer. Everything was delicious and one of my regrets from my wedding was that I didn't get to eat as much dessert! Cynthia was so helpful from start to finish - we did a cake tasting box with her and she was so responsive during the whole planning process. Our cake and dessert table was so beautiful and we are so glad we had them at our wedding!.

We ordered our wedding cake from here and it was AMAZING and tasted soooo GOOD! My guest really loved it as well. Communication was prompted and professional. We had our cake delivered to our dinner location. Thank you again Cake Works for making our special day even more special with our amazing cake.

I had an excellent experience from my initial email to the final pickup to the last bite! I recommend this cake shop to anyone looking to have a custom made cake. Perfect 10’s all around! Thank you so much! Mahalo.

This place is the BEST! We tasked Kristin with a really elaborate order for our nautical-themed wedding. She didn't just meet our challenge, she exceeded it. She took immense care to meticulously decorate each pastry. Our wedding cake was beautiful and incredible. Our guests were eating it days later and it was apparently just as flavorful and tender. I cannot thank Kristin and her team for giving us a showstopper dessert table.

Kristin, you were a gift. Thank you for the effort and time you took to make sure the desserts were set up and ready. The cake was GORGEOUS. The detail, the flavor. The fondant covering on the board. We even had a flower girl accidentally bump the cake and Kristin calmly and discretely took the time to fix it before photos. I could not have asked for a better wedding dessert professional. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I still dream about our amazing wedding cake- a devil’s food cake with cookies n cream frosting!! I swear I want to go back to Hawaii just to pick up a replica of this cake to devour! We also got cake shooters, cake pops, and chocolate covered strawberries that were also amazing! I am so happy I booked with A Cake Life!.

LA PALME D'OR REVIEWS

If you are craving real french pastries, or japanese style sweets, this patisserie is the one to go to. We tried 3 pastries, and we loved them, we even took 2 to go. The macaroons were delicious, excellent texture. The Japanese cheesecake, I can’t remember the name, it was soft and creamy, so good. The teas were also really good, the service was excellent, it’s a small place, with two little tables, but you can always take the desserts to go.

Omgosh! Everything is good there. My absolute favorite is the Cookie puff, I can eat 4 all at one sitting. The strawberry shortcake is so light I can eat the whole slice. Usually I can only eat 1/2 of a slice but theirs I can eat the whole slice. I haven't tried the sandwiches but I will on my next visit. I wish they would open a shop on the Leeward side. Only serves me right not to because I would be there every day. Everything is worth the price.

Amazing staff. Very accommodating and provide great advice as I was ordering abroad from Canada for a birthday gift. They didn’t have cards so they added some writing on chocolate. Very happy with the service and their beautiful cakes. Thank you so much!!.
