Absolutely Incredible Experience with Grooving Gourmet! We recently hosted an event at the Virginia Aquarium, and Groovin’ Gourmet made it absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was phenomenal — the beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, the mashed potato bar was a huge hit, the sangria was delicious, and the birthday cake was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. When I first started planning, I wasn’t sure what kind of menu I wanted. Jac from Groovin’ Gourmet was wonderful to work with — she took the time to understand the mix of dietary preferences among our guests and helped craft a menu that everyone loved. She truly knocked it out of the park. From planning through execution, the entire team was professional, kind, and detail-oriented. The service was seamless, and every part of the experience exceeded expectations. I can’t recommend Groovin’ Gourmet highly enough — they helped make our event unforgettable.

Groovin' Gourmet catered a cookout event for our company, and they did an incredible job from start to finish! They brought and grilled a wide variety of delicious food that everyone absolutely loved. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and made sure all our needs were met throughout the event. They even took care of setting up all the rental supplies, including the tent, chairs, and tables, which made the process effortless on our end. Communication was excellent the entire time. Jacqueline, our event coordinator, was amazing — she pulled everything together perfectly and made sure our event was a success. We truly enjoyed working with Groovin' Gourmet and look forward to partnering with them again for future events.

Groovin Gourmet is great! Their food is always on point. The staff is attentive and great at what they do. As a vendor/ Photographer I always love when Groovin Gourmet is a part of it. The food will be great and the experience is always awesome.

Chef by Design was so great to work with for my wedding!! We had the pleasure of working with Kellyn during our planning process and she was professional, nice, helpful, and quick to respond. Kellyn and her team made the planning process so easy and day of was so smooth and amazing. Their food display looked so great (not just in boring silver chafers), their staff was SO nice and quick day of. Their bartenders were so attentive and always made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand while also making sure our guests had what they needed. I have had many friends tell me it was the best wedding food they have had!! I 100% recommend having Chef By Design for your wedding or any of your other catering needs.

Outstanding food and service - if you are looking for an amazing Hampton Roads wedding caterer, look no further! I'm a wedding photographer and photographed a wedding where Chef by Design catered and WOW, they are top notch! The happy couple had a chicken & waffles station, shrimp & grits, and even more that was absolute perfection. Their staff couldn't have been more hospitable & kind - I had to ask the attendants if there were certain allergens present and they went above and beyond to ensure I was safe to eat what was available, checking on what oils were used (I have a peanut allergy) and whether there was sausage in the shrimp & grits (just picky, not an allergy haha). Can't wait to document more weddings that they are serving at.

I cannot begin to recommend this company enough. From the beginning, they had been very attentive to making sure they knew every detail of what we wanted on our special day. They have an expansive menu to choose from and were even accomodating to adjustments we wanted to make to the french fry bar. The food was excellent both at the tasting and at the event itself. We got so many compliments and would be happy to hire them again.

Chef Lin Old and the Tailored Chef team catered our church’s Galentine’s event, and we couldn’t have chosen a better team! He was incredibly responsive, kind, and dedicated to ensuring every guest was satisfied. The food was absolutely delicious! Our breakfast spread included bagels, biscuits, eggs, grits, turkey sausage, bacon, and fruit salad—everything was fresh and flavorful. The ladies thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and so did I! We truly appreciated Chef Lin’s professionalism and kindness, and we look forward to working with him and the Tailored Chef team again in the future! Highly recommend.

Wow! We had an amazing meal for my friend’s 50th birthday getaway! From planning to execution, everything was absolutely perfect! Thank you a million times over to Chef Lin and Chef Mario for a wonderful-and memorable experience.
