CAPTAIN GROOVY'S GRILL & RAW BAR REVIEWS

The menu options are great and the food was fantastic. Our waitress Taylor S was wonderful too. Highly recommend the fish and chips and fried pickles. I’m pretty sure the tartar sauce is house made and it was delicious. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and the portion size. They have some great lunch specials. Would definitely come back.

Awesome crab cake sandwich. Shoestring fries are really good, as well. They have one of my favorite beers, Vienna Lager from Devil's Backbone.

Everything from the drinks to desserts were great. Highly recommend the Lamb Chop appetizer!! The crab cake was very good!! Raw Bar oysters another plus! Just try it all it will not disappoint.

SALTINE REVIEWS

Trevor was the best server he was so pleasant and attentive! The food was amazing ! It was our first time coming before lunch/dinner and we will be coming back for brunch again soon. We got the French toast and the pancakes; as well as calamari, some mimosas and pistachio martinis. All were delicious I didn’t need a drop of additional butter or syrup for the pancakes, but much were HUGE! The French toast was out of this world! They have the best fried calamari in town and we eat out a lot! The pistachio butter martinis were something we took a risk on because we usually opt for the espresso martini or a margarita. Omg it was a risk worth taking! So good! The manager was so polite about us not having a reservation and we were still seated pretty quickly. We can’t iterate enough how awesome our server Trevor was! We will be back.

We enjoyed Happy Hour the night before our cruise and it was perfect! Close to the Marriott Waterside; our hotel. Food was delicious! We had jumbo shrimp, smoked fish dip and calamari. Our drinks were awesome and very affordable, Service was efficient and friendly! Our servers Christin & Trevor were the best! We will definitely visit again.

My husband and I’s FAVORITE spot! The food is fantastic, and SO flavorful — every single appetizer and entree we’ve had did not disappoint! The oyster happy hour is to die for, and the drinks are just as amazing! Ask about Nicole and Shaq.

AW SHUCKS RAW BAR & GRILL REVIEWS

Extremely accommodating wait staff for a handicap party. Super friendly staff. Appetizers of the raw oysters (Cape Charles) and crab dip were the star of the show. The fish and chips, breading was amazing, fish was bland. Grilled cheese was tasty. The fries are a strange asking Star. Flounder topped with crab was very good. The Bounty platter was lacking flavor. Overall the staff and drinks were very good. We will return and recommend to others.

Great food! The food was really good and the place has a very at home warm feel! The standing bar is a missed opportunity as we waited to be seated we walked over but weren’t acknowledged, I guess it’s used for storage but that’s a great spot for drinks while waiting in a table. The service was ok the server was sweet but I think we went during shift change. This won’t stop us from returning as the food was really good and it was a homey warm feel we will for sure be back drinks and food were 10/10.

The food selections were flavorful. The atmosphere was chill we sat outside on the patio and our waiter was super attentive.
