Here’s The Deal: House of Nanking is known to have lines out the door, and this long-standing spot serves Chinese chow in cozy quarters. Their head chef/owner, Peter Fang, in 1988, has done his best to get patrons to disregard the menu and allow him to decide what the best meal of the day is. The chef is inventive and prefers determining what each table will eat. House of Nanking is a popular Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area, offering traditional cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. Their recipes are based on conventional methods that have been updated based on their own experience. The unique dishes include fried potstickers with peanut sauce, Nanking, sesame chicken, and shrimp packets with peanut sauce. Head over to Nanking if you want a truly unique Asian dining experience. They also have an outdoor seating facility and accept multiple payments.

The food was delicious! The restaurant has two indoor sides and was not large or fancy, just great food. The food hit the spot and was flavorful. It was extremely busy for a Monday night and we did have to wait a while but the food made up for it. I don’t feel like there were enough vegetables on the menu so that was a bummer but we enjoyed what we did choose.
It's our last night of a business trip to San Francisco. We asked our taxi driver for a recommendation and he dropped us off there - we are glad he did. We weren't sure what to have, so the owner chose for us. We started with a chicken bao, then clam soup, fried rice paper rolls, pork spare ribs, prawn and beef with broccoli, catfish soup, and then finally, a chicken and prawn fried rice cooked at the table. My favourite was the clam soup. They make a really lovely not-too-sweet iced tea. I totally loved this dinner.
This place is a gem! Tried the sesame chicken served with sweet potatoes, man this dish was amazing!!! Mogu beef was good, definitely great flavor in the sauce. Winner of the day was the fried rice, served sizzling and the egg gets cooked table side. I’d go back!

TOP 3 R & G LOUNGE REVIEWS
And then he tells all about this Chinese restaurant called the R&G Lounge...it's the best in the city, he says, and then goes on and on about the Siu Char chicken, it's this, it's that...on and on! He wouldn't shut up! So I slugged him, not hard but hard enough for him to shut the hell up. So, I told him...let's go Pilgrim, and if it's not like you claim it to be...you're paying! It was every bit of what he claimed, the chicken was Spectacular! The Peking Duck looked so good I got one to go, it'll be tomorrow's breakfast, and I can't wait. 5 stars all day long!
We were here on Wednesday night for a birthday dinner. Everything was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! Every dish from the Spicy Garlic Eggplant to the Salt n'Pepper Crab was seasoned perfectly. Can't wait to go back. The servers were really nice and patient. We were so full and stuck to our seats we didn't even realize they were already closed. They didn't try to rush us out or anything. Parking was easy.
Authentic Chinese food. Wonderful service and tons of options. Great for a large party where you need the spinning tray. Recommend the duck for sure!

TOP 3 SAN TUNG REVIEWS
When you arrive and walk into the narrow entrance, turn to your right and add your name and next to it, your party size in numeric form, to the waitlist on the white board mounted on the wall. Lines are long, typically you will wait 20-45 minutes to be seated. Everything is great on the menu, no frills is very much the case, so orders are delivered immediately. Don't forget the most important rule--Order any dish to go. After midnight it turns to candy in the fridge! :) Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here and the crowd is loud. High chairs.
Ever imagined finding a Korean-style Chinese restaurant in SF? Well, you can find it here. For many Koreans, black bean noodles are a kind of soul food, often enjoyed on special occasions like birthdays or graduation ceremonies since childhood. That's way I was thrilled to discover this place. They serve the dish with an interesting twist, adding more shrimp and scallops than the traditional Korean version, and it's delicious! My only disappointment was that I was too full to try more. I'm definitely planning a return visit to explore their menu further. If you're in SF, you should visit this place!
This place by far has the best wings I may have ever had! I have not tried a lot of of their other dishes besides the green beans which are also delicious, but the must try are the wings on the bone I assume the other wings are also delicious too! The wait can be pretty crazy, but put your name down and go grab a coffee from around the corner. Not super friendly on the inside but the wings are so good it's doesn't matter and they are fast!
