AMBER INDIA SAN FRANCISCO REVIEWS

Easily the best Indian food I’ve had in the United States! Amber offers an exceptional spread, outstanding quality, and excellent service. It doesn’t get more authentic than this. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted—more a work of art and skill than mere cooking. Compared to other restaurants, the prices are very reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed their buffet, and the Indian sweets were truly out of this world. Amber is a true ambassador of India’s rich culinary heritage and incredible flavors. This is my first 5-star rating for an Indian restaurant.

The Indian buffet was delicious. I kept eating Tanduri chicken and curry with nan. It was the memorable experience due to the food quality. I love the Indian food culture including curry in this restaurant. I would like to highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try Indian foods.

Absolutely phenomenal Indian restaurant. Been to tons of places and Amber India is on the very top of our family list. Love it.

NORTH INDIA REVIEWS

Delicious lunch buffet! I got a little of everything and nothing disappointed. The pakora was crispy and fresh. I was worried it would be too mild because it’s a buffet (because I really like spice)- but the spice levels across each dish was good. The goat curry was nice and the most spicy. I loved the goat. The meat was tender and fresh. There were good vegetarian saag and daal and mixed vegetables. The owner gave me a gulab jamun after I finished my meal and it was warm and delicious! One of my favorite desserts.

Tried keema naan, chicken makhani, n chicken biryani here—honestly way better than most places that just claim to serve Indian food. This spot actually gets the flavors right. Good mix of veg n non-veg North Indian dishes. Calm music, nice ambience.

The food was delicious, we ordered the meat platter, and the assorted bread with lamb and shrimp. My husband loved it so much he finished everything.

I recently visited ROOH SF for a date night, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The Butter Chicken Kulcha was a highlight—perfectly flavorful, rich, and satisfying. It was an incredible blend of textures and flavors that made it unforgettable. We also tried the Chicken Curry, which was wonderfully spiced and had just the right balance of heat and depth. The ambiance was warm and elegant, making for a perfect evening. Overall, a 5-star experience. ROOH SF is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in innovative Indian cuisine.

My first time trying Indian food was at Michelin accredited Rooh. Now before I go to San Francisco Giants baseball games. I always eat at Rooh. I love this place. Ain’t nothing like your first time. Rooh has not only delicious entrees such as Lamb and butter chicken. They also serve up amazing cocktails!! Really hit the spot. Worth the pennies. Want Giants to win, eat at Rooh and root for the Giants then !.

Many Vegetarian options. Service was really really good !! Dahi puri was quite good! Chili Paneet Cootija Cheese puff was average Dal Makhani was really good Paneer pinwheel was also worth a try Their Butter Naan and Garlic Naan were more chewy to my taste. I have seen better bread quality elsewhere. Gulab-E-Khaas was a very unique dessert and has a very balanced taste! All in all a must try restaurant.
