3 Best Custom Cabinets in Des Moines, IA

We had AIM out to remodel our upstairs bathroom and bedroom. Our house is a classic Beaverdale Brick 'story and a half', which had a half-bath upstairs with the master bedroom. We spent a little time working out a renovation design with Caroline who was great to work with. AIM was the prime contractor and gutted most of the room, walled in a new 3/4 bath, replumbed, rewired, sheetrocked, handled flooring, new windows, tiling, etc. They did great work all around, with a lot of attention to detail that will make future changes cleaner. I really liked that they worked on the project straight through: once they started, they didn't stop until they were done. It did take a little time (these things always do), but every week things were getting done. Their main construction/install wizard Joe in particular was great. We messed something up when we added our own insulation and he redid it right with no fuss. We'll definitely hire AIM again for our next remodel -- probably our 'old' bathroom. Photos show the before/during/after of the project. The room is much quieter, with quiet floors, more insulation, good quality built-in dressers and a fantastic tile shower.

The folks at AIM did a great job completely renovating a bathroom for us. Melissa made the design work easy and everything works great together. Aaron did most of the renovation work - many skills and easy to work with. Ben did a very fine job on the electrical work and Huntur is an excellent plumber, along with other skills. Everyone involved was friendly and respectful. Daily cleanup. We're very happy customers and would definitely hire again.

Such a fantastic experience! Linda met with us at our home and listened to all of the details (we are very picky) of our dream kitchen remodel, but I wasn't sure if she would see the space as we saw it. She invited us to her showroom to review her design, and we were blown away. It was exactly what we had envisioned. Choosing the materials was fun and she had great recommendations and voiced her concerns based on her extensive knowledge. She was very responsive and always positive. She chose excellent installers that were very knowledgeable and responsible. She even replaced a cabinet panel with a small ding in it at no cost. I would say they aren't the cheapest option for designing and supplying cabinets but they made a very stressful process of remodeling a kitchen (and mud room) much less stressful, and knowing what I know now, would make the same decision again. Highly recommended.

We worked with Kari at Minnesota Cabinets from the beginning to the end of our kitchen remodel. She listened to what we wanted to do with our kitchen and presented us with a design that did all of that and more. Non of the other bidders listened to what we wanted as well, and they all missed the mark. Kari provided us with a one stop shopping experience. After we picked out the cabinet design she had samples of counter top as well as tile for the back splash so we could match all finishes without running to a tile shop and counter top supplier. She even had the perfect hardware for our drawer door pulls. Kari helped coordinate the counter top installation and was able to help us follow up on the delivery of the back splash tile when it was delayed.

By working with our designer Linda Hermon we were able to marry form and function to create spaces that work well for us. Minnesota Cabinets offers excellent value in design and materials. Linda always listens well, offers suggestions and options, and follows through on making sure everything works.
