"Detroit Dance Loft is a famous ballroom and social dance studio with over 15 years of experience. Marc Brewer and Rose Turuka are the owners of the studio. Marc and Rose are incredibly knowledgeable and extremely professional. Marc Brewer is certified through Broadway Dance Center’s rigorous training program in NYC with a concentration in ballet and is additionally certified in 9 American styles. Rose Turuka has learned from instructors all over the world and continues to evolve as a dancer and teacher. Detroit Dance Loft has been in existence for over 10 years, and DDL has organized Michigan’s largest Afro-Latin dance festivals.

DETROIT DANCE LOFT REVIEWS

We took a dance class at Detroit Dance Loft, we had an amazing time!! This was our first time trying this style of dance. The instructors were amazing! They were patient and kind and helped us to jump in with the class. Definitely recommend if your in Detroit and looking for a great fun time that you visit this studio!!! Will definitely be back next time we are in Detroit. The highlight of our a trip! A beautiful facility inside.

Amazing people, best teachers in USA and Europe. They’re my favorite of all - from all over the places! Their way of teaching is so unique that it is hard to find. Marc&Rose are professionals and at the same time they make me feel like I can dance anything, enjoy the dancing and be great at it. Very inspirational teachers, adaptable to the needs of the clients, teaching with souls and hearts. Love them from the bottom of my heart.

DETROIT WINDSOR DANCE ACADEMY REVIEWS

I dance here from about age 11 through high school to Jr. Company. Wonder family atmosphere and amazing teachers. So many opportunities to learn fundamentals and performs at different events. Debra and Bruce run a top notch dance academy.

My 9yr old has been dancing here for 3 years and she loves it. The staff is excellent with the children. The teachers are wonderful role models. She is now 12 and she still loves being there! This years Daddy & Daughter Dance photo.

Never been, but my older sister went here. And I barely remember going to her one of her dance recitals. I was 2 or 3 at the time.

So glad to have ArtLabJ in the neighborhood, the summer and school camps are a great balance of education, learning, art, and fun. I really appreciate how ArtLabJ connects with other local jewels, like the nearby library, garden, and playground. All the staff are so kind and patient, our kid has learned so much there.

We held our kiddo’s 6th birthday party here at Artlab J. We most highly recommend it! Everyone had a fantastic time, with a variety of activities: art, movement, nourishment and sound. Joori is so dynamic and inspiring. The only hiccups were our own, and she pivoted seemingly effortlessly. Best party ever! Our kiddo loved every minute.

As a guy completely new to dance, I was a little nervous about starting ballet & contemporary classes. But, artlabj's instructors provided a very inclusive environment where I was able to learn without feeling pressured at all, in an area way outside of my comfort zone. I felt like every student--even the ones with prior dance experience--were able to take something away from every session. Would definitely recommend their adult classes to anyone looking!
