" Guardian Building is a 43-story office skyscraper located in downtown Detroit at Griswold Drive. The building is a Class-A office, owned by Wayne County, Michigan, and serves as its headquarters. The Guardian Building was originally called the Union Trust Building. The building has been declared a national historic landmark and is considered one of the boldest examples of Art Deco architecture. The building's exterior features a granite base, Corrado Parducci carvings, and multi-story windows framed by glass. The building's main frame rises 36 feet high, with one of two spires reaching about 131 feet. Guardian Building provides spacious office space on a full floor right in the central business district, ranging from 1,000 to 16,000 square feet. The building also offers retail and tourist gift shops.
