3 Best Pubs in Detroit, MI

This place is a wonderful resteraunt. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Additionally, the menu was electronic. They supply you with a nice tablet that displays the food/alcohol menus. My party sat at the bar, and you could get a real Irish-American feel from the ambiance of the environment. The food was amazing. I ordered the McShane burger medium rare. It was one of the better burgers I have had from a tavern/pub in a very long time. The cooks came out to the bar, and we were sure to compliment them on such great tasting food. I also tried the sweet potato fries, and they were cooked perfectly. It was slightly crispy on the outside, nice and warm and soft/firm inside. Don't change those recipes, McShane. I will be visiting again in the future.

Overall a really good place to stop for a drink, have a bite to eat, or meet up with friends. I find the service to be always friendl and food very consistent (very good but not mind blowing). Never had any issues, Good crowd and usually very attentive service. On my last visit I had the Gaelic Club, it was large and delicious!! It's rare that I think about a sandwich weeks later. Looking forward to returning and having it again.

Had a GREAT time here. Food and service was absolutely amazing, Alyssa are bar tender/waitress absolutely kilt it! She was on top of everything and had a great personality. So glad we had left the detroit sports bar and came here... For sure was night and day and highly recommend you check this place out!

Danielle and Anissa are wonderful bar tenders and servers. I'm an over the road trucker and do home time here in Detroit every 2 or 3 months. I hang out at this bar because of their great service and talk therapy. I never have an empty glass. I'm never left unattended by them. They make sure I'm okay and stay okay. If they leave this bar I leave it. I hope and trust you will take good care of them because they take damn good care of me when I'm in town.

We loved our visit to The Old Shillelagh! We visited at lunch and it’s a great pub. We had the Shillelagh burger and the Reuben. The burger was moist and cooked perfectly. The cheese was perfectly melted and all the toppings were crisp and fresh. The Reuben was stacked and so tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. Also, bought a hoodie and the prices were so reasonable.

This is one of the best place for vegan or vegetarian food, hands down. We were really very surprised! They have great selection, most delicious food. Service is awesome and so are drinks! Wish we went when there was a game. It sure has great atmosphere.
