2026 Update: Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is a former car factory built in 1904. It was the 2nd center of automobile production for the Ford Motor Company, after the Ford Mack Avenue Plant. The museum created and first produced the Ford Model T, and is credited with initiating the mass use of automobiles in the United States. Ford Piquette Avenue Plant was the first factory to feature more than 100 cars assembled in one day. The museum is the oldest purpose-built automotive factory, which is open to the public and received 31,000 people in 2018. Field, Hinchman & Smith is the Architect of the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant.
