Best dance studio in Springfield, Missouri. Sonshine Performing Arts Academy has been in business for over forty years. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, well trained, and very caring. Most if the teachers have danced in professional capacities and have dance based college degrees. The staff treats the children like their own. Sonshine includes everyone, and is a postitive environment for children to develop healthy self esteem. They also have Dove Dancewear in house - very convenient! I started at Sonshine when I was 3. I recommend Sonshine highly to anyone looking for a dance studio.

I take lessons at a couple of otther studios here in Springfield also but if I had to choose only one, it would be Sonshine. I have been taking West Coast swing lessons at Sonshine on Sunday and Wednesday nights since December. I like the vibe at Sonshine and I get much more one on one interaction with the instructors than I do at a the large group classes I am also enrolled in. What I like about Sonshine is you can take your dance to wherever you want. If you have something you want to work on, you can. You can not do that in a large group class.

The whole crew at Somshines is amazing!! Danny helped me and my wife create our very own wedding dance and it turned out to be one of our favorite parts of our wedding day. Well worth the time and money to learn from these guys and they are so nice and fun to work with.

We have taken dance lessons in the past from Kelly Frey to prepare for some of our kids' weddings and have had a blast! But at the beginning of this year we started taking just because we want to learn and get better. Kelly is an amazing teacher, is so patient, yet really helps us refine our dancing so we hopefully will look good on the dance floor. We are in our late 50's/early 60's and really think this is a wonderful activity to keep our bodies healthy as well as our minds sharp as we age. Our weekly lesson is a really good rhythm for our week. We've made new friends along the way too! There's only good to be gained by taking dance lessons at Step by Step Dance Studio.

Kelly is amazing. She’s so patient and helps you with everything every step of the way! She’s so experienced and does great work. She choreographed our first dance for our wedding and it was so elegant and beautiful. Can not recommend her enough.
