SEQUIOTA PARK REVIEWS

This is a great park with a rich history. The walking trails are great for biking and walking and a favorite to a lot of dogs. There’s a large playground for older kids and a small playground for smaller kids. The main creek is dry most of the time, but it’s still fun for kids to get down and play in the rocks. There are trails through the woods that are fun for climbing in one large rock, the size of a small house that Kids can climb up on as well. There is a cave that is dry that you can go in and out of and there’s also a large cave that they give boat tours in the early spring that empties out into a large pond that you can walk around as well. We have used the pavilion at different times for birthday parties which is nice as well.

Perfect for a stroll there are so many beautiful plants and trees. The stream is soothing and the playground is set in and around the trees just a relaxing atmosphere and everyone was friendly.

Amazing, wish the trails were open. But the ponds and cave entrance was amazing and so peaceful.

PHELPS GROVE PARK REVIEWS

Went to the park Labor Day afternoon to hit a few tennis balls. Phelps Grove Park is a beautiful park just south from MSU on National Avenue. Great jogging / walking trails, lots of trees for shade, BBQ stations for those so inclined, swings and play equipment for the kiddos and restroom facilities all surrounded my a very nice neighborhood. Best park north of Sunshine street.

Very nice park,large historic shelter house, relaxing .Never seems crowded, Large modern playground. Restrooms are dated but definitely usable. Next to art gallery with free admission, tennis courts, nice flower garden. The park is kinda spread out almost like two or three separate park areas , but as far as I know it's considered all one park.

I love Phelps Grove Park! The trees are magnificent! They hold so much history. I enjoy just walking around the area. The homes all around the park are beautiful. Hats off to the Springfield Parks Department for doing such a wonderful job with our parks. We really are fortunate to have such great areas to enjoy.

JORDAN VALLEY PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful park! The fountains are definitely my boys favorite place to go. They have several sections with fountains, some with bigger splashes and some with smaller ones. The water is less than a foot deep, so my young toddlers could play in it with no issue. Not a lot of shade in the fountains, but otherwise the park is super shaded. There are a couple of places with picnic tables, including one covered area. There is also a small playground. Parking is a little space, but other than that it is a great place to spend a warm afternoon.

Fun little park. It’s awesome in the summer with their water features. Check out the running man, and the hockey/ice rink is close by. Nice little loop for local walk events, too.

One of my favorite parks to visit on a hot day. Water fountains & small pools to wade in. Free and fun.
