The trail also has a family-friendly outdoor dining spot. During the summer, the gardens are so stunning that many people at this location want to hold weddings. Minnehaha Regional Park also features numerous picnic areas, bike paths, public restrooms, and pedestrian paths for the convenience of the visitors. Dogs are also welcome in leash areas.

2026 Update: This 193-acre riverfront park offers a scenic setting for hiking, with miles of well-maintained trails that pass through natural landscapes and lead to a central waterfall. The trails include paved and unpaved paths, steps that lead down to the base of the falls, and routes that continue along the river toward a small beach area. Hikers can enjoy views of the creek as it connects to the Mississippi River, along with bridges, wooded areas, and open spaces. Benches are placed along the trails for resting, and the park also includes picnic areas, gardens, and open spaces for outdoor activities. The trails are suitable for individuals, families, and pets, providing a peaceful environment for walking, short hikes, and exploring nature within the city."
