TOP 3 MINNEHAHA REGIONAL PARK REVIEWS
Minnehaha Regional Park is pretty cool place to spend time outside. To enjoy waterfalls and river. Multiple hiking trails. There are separate trails for bikes. And there is special area for walking dogs without leash (dog permit required). All other areas you can still walk the dogs but on the leash only. Today was so dry that there were no water in the waterfalls areas.
Tons of super fun trails throughout the park that stretch for 10s of miles each way should you take them. Lots of very beautiful trails around streams. Most trails are very easy and friendly for all ages including pets as well. Plenty of free parking in the communities across from the parking lot which is also easier to find parking as well since it’s far more plentiful.
This park is so much more than the falls! If you take the trail toward the river it’s absolutely beautiful. You will eventually get to the river and there is a beach. Great views, cool graffiti and wasn’t too crowded. Get to the falls early to avoid over crowding.

TOP 3 MISSISSIPPI GORGE REGIONAL PARK REVIEWS
This place is beautiful any time of season! There are many trails to walk on that are dog friendly. It’s connected to Minnehaha Dog Park and Minnehaha Falls. The river was a bit hard for us to access for our dog to drink the water cuz the water level was so high. When we’ve been here in the summer, the water was the perfect height as our dog could wade in the river and drink water from. This is also where my husband proposed to me. It was the perfect day and he had prepared a lovely picnic for us.
Very pretty trails. Loved being able to hear and see the water along the paved trail. We took a few of the unpaved trails as well. Beautiful scenery. Perfect walk for gorgeous fall colors! Restrooms: Portable toilet near one of the parking areas Dog-friendliness: Lots of paved trails perfect for your furry companion.
Nice place. Bike and walk trails. Road is limited to 20mph, but not followed much. Saw many motorcycles going 40+ and passing. Highly recommend staying off road unless driving. Some homeless, but they did not seem to be an issue.

TOP 3 ELOISE BUTLER WILDFLOWER GARDEN AND BIRD SANCTUARY REVIEWS
This place is a wonderful hidden gem! The walking trails are well maintained and the volunteers are wonderful. Two years ago we saw a little snake hanging out in the brush. This year we saw many beautiful flowers in bloom. We also found the visitor station which was absolutely wonderful. There are water fountains and bathroom throughout the property. The parking was free since the machines were down, which was an added bonus!!
What a gorgeous place. A peaceful garden area with lots of natural Minnesota plants. Trails are well cared for and even. Beautiful variety of all types of plants. The space is home to many bees. Make sure to look online and view their map! The place is extensive, and there isn’t a ton of signage. By using a map you can get the most out of your visit :) Overall would 100% recommend!
Spring wildflowers are in bloom! This is by far my favorite place to go! A sanctuary within the city. Well maintained trails. Labeled flowers and trees. And programs for all. Open until 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings.
