Turkey Mountain is a significant Trail destination located on Tulsa's riverfront. The Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area has four marked trails between 0.8 and 5.7 miles (1 and 9 km) in length for running or cycling and over 25 miles (40 km) of unmarked trails. The trail is a public park that covers hundreds of rugged and wooded acres. The route is generally considered easy. The elevation gain ranges from 78 feet to 994 feet. The Turkey Mountain Master Plan calls for 40 miles of multiuse trails, of which more than 21 have been completed by October 2023. A recent survey has shown that it is a regional and national attraction, with documented evidence. The wilderness has two large lakes and several miles of winding dirt trails. TURKEY MOUNTAIN URBAN WILDERNESS AREA REVIEWS
We love hiking here especially in the fall. There are many walking trails. There are some super cool bike trails even some for downhill speed trails with jumps. It was fun to watch the bikers. Some trails are easier than others but all are well marked and everything is kept up nicely.
This is a great hiking area. We did 5 miles of the trails and based on the map there's plenty more. The area is beautiful and even though it's pretty thick woods the trails are well marked and easy to follow.
The new trails are making Turkey Mountain the place to be whether you are on a bike or foot. They are holding up so much better to the hard rains we get.

Mohawk Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the country, spanning over 3,300 acres in Tulsa. The park's more than 800 acres include the Oxley Nature Centre, which offers hiking and picnics, a 5-acre marsh with a 600-foot boardwalk and observation tower, and 9+ miles of trails. The large park was built as part of a public works project 1924 that pumped drinking water from the Spavinaw Dam to Tulsa. Visitors can enjoy hands-on exhibits, observe a beehive, and access bathrooms and drinking water at the interpretive center. There are also plenty of animals and waterfowl in the neighborhood, the Tulsa Zoo and the Mohawk Park Golf Course, a 36-hole disc golf course, multiple CCC-era picnic shelters, a polo field, and miles of horse trails.

MOHAWK PARK REVIEWS
Peaceful place in nature with tons of birds and deer as well as fish and turtles in the reservoir. The trails are easy to identify and very secluded. It does get muddy and wet after rain though, some trails become impassable but they do a good job of keeping the trails clear. There are bald eagles flying around as well as osprey during certain times of the year. Recommend this place to enjoy nature and get away from traffic and noise. Keep it clean Tulsa, pick up after yourself.
I went to Oxley Nature Center which is within the park. It has over nine miles of trails that are well maintained. The terrain is level so you don't have to worry about hills. It is a great place for families and to teach your children about nature. They provide you with a lot of information about the animals and various ecosystems. Probably the #1 spot for birdwatching in the Tulsa area.
The trails here were absolutely amazing during winter. I can only imagine what they'll look like this Spring. They seemed to be fairly well maintained, aside from a few trash items randomly left along the trails.

OXLEY NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
Love love love it here. A ton of trails, the majority of them unpopulated by human beans. Most of the trails connect to each other and are easy to navigate. You are *in* nature here honnie: I saw deer; a 4-5 foot long snake; tons of birds and butterflies; and cool insects. Be mindful of ticks though yall cos this is a place you can find them, and they'll find you!
The staff was very sweet and helpful for our first time there! The trails are very maintained, well kept and suitable for a two year old! We had a fun time looking a wildlife and even got a close up encounter with an armadillo. I felt very safe walking the trails with my kiddo. Highly recommend going here!
I enjoy going to Oxley Nature Center. It is a part of Tulsa Parks so is free. The terrain is almost all level, so walking is easy. There are more than nine miles of trails. It is probably the best bird watching area around Tulsa. I really enjoy the quiet of early mornings.
