“Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area has four marked trails between 0.8 and 5.7 miles (1 and 9 km) in length for running or cycling and over 25 miles (40 km) of unmarked trails. The trail is a public park that covers hundreds of rugged and wooded acres. The route is generally considered easy. The elevation gain ranges from 78 feet to 994 feet. Turkey Mountain Master Plan calls for forty miles of multi-use trails, of which more than 21 have been completed by October 2023. A recent survey has shown that it is a regional and national attraction, with documented evidence. The wilderness has two large lakes and several miles of winding dirt trails. Turkey Mountain is purposefully held in the wilderness to provide a challenging recreational experience.”
