“Tulsa Zoo is an 84-acre zoo that aims to connect, care for, and advocate for wildlife, people, and wild places. The zoo is owned by the City of Tulsa and managed by Tulsa Zoo Management, Inc. It is home to 1,500 animals representing 436 species. The zoo attracts over 550,000 visitors annually, making it the Green Country region's most significant attraction. The zoo celebrates over 90 years of providing family-friendly entertainment, education in the natural sciences, and nature conservation. Visitors can explore eight exhibit galleries showcasing thousands of fish and animals from both saltwater and freshwater habitats. Tulsa Zoo hosts a variety of exhibits, including the Lost Kingdom complex and its Valley of the Elephants enclosure. It features outdoor display areas and indoor eco-themed buildings designed to replicate environments close to the animals’ natural habitats, with species from around the world. Tulsa Zoo offers free admission for children under the age of three.”
