This museum is simply amazing. Despite the building's well-kept grandeur it has a wonderful relaxed vibe and a wide variety of exhibits; truly something for everyone's taste. We went on a second Saturday of the month when it was actually FREE, which was awesome but also meant the place was teeming with families and their small children. Not a major issue, but possibly something to consider. The beautiful grounds are not to be missed! Terrific place for a stroll.

We have been to many zoos, including the Fort Worth zoo in Texas - but the Tulsa Zoo is by far our favorite! No lines, no fuss, it is really just a personalized Zoo experience. We sat with the monkeys (my sons favorite) for 20 minutes - just us! I've never seen a zoo have happier animals either. They were all awake and interactive. It was such a wonderful experience and to top it all of, the tickets were only $10 each. We will be back! And tell anyone that will listen how much we love the Zoo.

Another spectacular museum tucked away in Tulsa! As noted in another review, their Hudson River School collection is AMAZING. Totally worth the visit alone to see some of the most staggeringly beautiful paintings created in America during the 19th Century. They have a small theatre where they put on classes and talks, and the layout is fun to explore in. My husband and I spent a day here recently just wandering around and enjoying a lunch in the restaurant overlooking Gilcrease Hills.
