Excellent museum overall. As soon as we entered, the staff gave us a warm and educational welcome to this deeply emotional space. The transition between each gallery was seamless. The variety of interactive pieces was great. The overall telling of this dark part of Tulsa history was immensely impactful. It leaves you with a lot of information and productive next steps for how to incorporate your learnings into your own community. This is a museum that everyone living locally or just visiting should make a point of stopping by.

My family and I traveled from West Virginia to visit Greenwood Rising in Tulsa, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The museum is both powerful and educational, honoring the history of the Greenwood District and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The exhibits are moving, interactive, and tell the story of resilience, culture, and strength in a way that leaves a lasting impact. Greenwood Rising is more than a museum—it’s an experience everyone should have to truly understand this important part of American history.

This museum is an absolute must-visit! It is incredibly informative, providing deep insight and context into the events and figures that shaped the nation. This place is truly rich with American history, making it a deeply meaningful and enlightening experience for anyone interested in the country's past.

Great experience here! Jack was sweet, all employees were incredibly kind and signs were very detailed and some repetitive in a helpful way. I do believe the planetarium needs to have a rule about removing people who are being overly loud, however. I chose to walk out of my time there because of a family who couldn’t keep their kiddos from disturbing the experience. I think if they had been told to take a second out in the lobby to gather their bearings it would’ve been fine, but they talked the whole time, kicked my seat, and even yelled repeatedly. Couldn’t hear the presenter, so I went back through the museum and got more pictures!

Went for the first time, and it was pretty cool. There are so many cool different things to see and facts to read about. 2 stories in the museum itself. They have planes, helicopters, interactive setups, and games for kids. There is also a playground and an airplane you can board. The planetarium show was awesome, and I would love to see all of the shows. Definitely recommend it, and it's pretty cheap admission.

The website is user friendly, easy to purchase tickets. Small museum with a big punch, lots of hands on activities for all ages. Outside playground and great exhibits where you can get up close. Highly recommend.
