InterContinental Kansas City At The Plaza

We have been staying here regularly for the last 2 years since our son moved to Kansas City for work and marriage. We were not impressed with several other hotels near Country Club Plaza that we tried before the Intercontinental. You pay a little more than other chains but it is well worth it. The location is excellent with a great view of all the shops and restaurants across the creek. The staff are friendly and helpful from the valet to the bell stand (John in particular) to the front desk, bar, restaurant and event staff. Our son’s wedding was here last summer and it was absolutely gorgeous and a great place for out of town relatives to stay. I would highly recommend the concierge floors (10 and 11) for a great lounge with breakfast and drinks throughout the day. Get a room with a Plaza view if you can.

Love this very elegant Beautiful Hotel In the summer and winter !!! Classic upscale Bar with a beautiful fire place and live piano was very elegant to enjoy and see. I will always stay here when I’m in town or just shopping on the plaza while visiting family. The room are very PRIVATE and the staff is VERY nice and are not pushy for you to leave at checkout!! Very refreshing!!!

We had such a wonderful 1 night stay for my mom's birthday! Such kind service and the best part was the amazing singer & guitar player in the lobby that evening! Her voice was phenomenal and she played a song request for my mom's birthday. It made it such an extra special night!!
