ACADEMY OF MUSIC IN GRAND RAPIDS REVIEWS

We put our sons into music lessons at the academy since they were five. They are now 7 and 11. We have most recently worked with Rachael, Kohl and Monte and they have all been great teachers and lovely people. We have been with the academy for 6+ years because everything they do is first class. They put a personal touch on everything from creating a relationship with their students, office games and fun challenges to encourage practicing. The entire staff truly cares about each student and their musical journey. Office communication is always clear and timely. And my personal favorite are the recitals they do every six months at the wealthy theatre. Giving musicians the chance to perform on a stage for an audience is such a benefit. The recitals are so well run and they make it feel like a professional performance no matter the skill level. I would highly recommend Academy of Music for music lessons at any age.

Mr Thom and Ms Betsy are teaching my two children and they are both terrific teachers! My kids and I adore them. They have made so much progress and have learned so much at the Academy. Ms Meredith also taught our daughter in Jenison while we lived in that area. She is also a wonderful instructor and my daughter enjoyed her time with her. I would highly recommend either location.

Such a fun place for lessons and offers so many activities and rewards. Mrs. Silver is so encouraging and has helped me grow with piano so much. Most definitely recommend this place and Mrs. Silver as a piano or vocal teacher.

RIVERSIDE GUITAR SCHOOL REVIEWS

I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for the amazing guitar lessons and intro my girls have gotten over the past few months! They are LOVING lessons and practice at home. Their love for all things music has grown and blossomed in this time. We had a difficult experience with piano lessons a few years ago, and since then have avoided all things piano and most music in general. My girls are now composing their own songs on the piano and getting creative with all kinds of music and instruments. They especially LOVE guitar. Brett is an awesome facilitator and the girls really enjoy the fun lessons and positive encouragement to practice at home and improve.chill and enjoyable. I highly recommend Riverside, as an adult student, and I would also gladly send my kids here for lessons.

My daughter has attended Riverside Guitar School for the past year and has had an incredible experience. Dean has created an atmosphere that is both welcoming and relaxed. The teachers meet their students where they are experience-wise and help to bring them to the next level. I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend this school for guitarists of all ages and abilities. we have had great interactions with everyone associated with the school.

I’ve been learning Ukulele with Alexis for the past 4 months and it’s been great! I’ve learned how to play chords, notes, and read music. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to learn ukulele or guitar.

Taking guitar lessons from James at Triumph Music Academy has by far one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. I've wanted to know how to play for years, and now that is a reality. James and his staff are fun, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Whatever dreams you have related to the instrument you want to learn, these guys will make it happen. I really cannot say enough about how much I have enjoyed this - I would recommend Triumph Music Academy to anyone.

James and the team at Triumph do a great job! I worked with Mike Dodge, a top-notch instructor and musician, on both mandolin and guitar. I recommend Triumph on a regular basis to folks looking for teachers in GR. One great aspect of Triumph is there are students of all ages, lots of adults as well as young people. Music making is for everyone across the age spectrum and Triumph fosters that.

Triumph is excellent! My son enrolled here to learn guitar, though switched to piano a few months in. They are great working with young learners, offer lots of flexibility and have very talented musicians working for them. Great place to choose.
