Riverside Park has over 180.0 acres of parkland offering nature trails for hiking, bird-watching, fishing, kayaking, winter sports, and disc golf. It was designed to engage community-based recreational requirements and preservation of unique open space and landscapes. The park has a great pond with a barrier-free fishing pier and over 1,000 feet of green picnic area equipped with grills and tables. Riverside Park has two nine-hole disc-golf courses, soccer fields, two playgrounds, and boat launch ramps.

Richmond Park is one of the largest parks in Grand Rapids that featuring various sports facilities and an outdoor pool. The park used to be used as a recreational field for skiing with a jump and toboggan chute. There are a lot of playing facilities that includes a basketball court, XC skiing, mountain bike trail, ball diamond, and Sledding hill. Richmond Park offers an enclosed shelter house for events.
