Best tattoo could be who a fellow tattoo artist gets their tattoo. I see Jeff Grachtrup. He can be found at the Plainfield location. Jeff has been tattooing for over 3 decades. (I’ve seen other shops brag how long they have been tattooing but they combined everyone’s time, lol). Jeff isn’t just a tattooist, he is an artist. Big teddy bear too for you first timers. I have been tattooed by a few people. Jeff is light handed but the color/shading on your tattoo is solid and heals well. With his time he has also the knowledge of what works & what doesn’t. Our skin bodies are 70%ish water; so if Jeff tells you to change the design… trust him. I recently had him recolor a half sleeve and piece on my spine. I love them….and wish I recolored them sooner. Jeff’s prices are more than reasonable. He really should charge more. You are getting a deal for what you are receiving, so May I suggest tipping him.

Great service I wanted an old tattoo covered up but to also blend in with what I already had and th artist Scott did a great job I will be going back for to keep adding pieces.

I've been going there, and only there, for all tattoos or piercings for over 20 years. Shawn is a great guy and has always kept solid, talented people as company. Kind of like barbers or hair stylists they are genuinely nice and easy to talk to while you're getting work done. In most cases you're going to have to wait a little while for an appointment because the artists there have a lot of clients in queue. All of them are great artists and have varied primary disciplines and styles they enjoy and thus have honed an impressive depth of skill in (check out the artist profiles on their site or stop in and ask about who might be the best artist to work with on your project or piece). Holy heaven this crew is amazing. The whole process from start to finish was highly professional and informative. They know what they are doing, and they are incredibly talented. I had an idea in mind for my tattoo, and Adam actually made it BETTER than what I'd originally planned out. I didn't think that would happen. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I've gotten tattoos before other places, but from here on out, I'll only be going to Mos Eisley's.
