SCHOOL OF ROCK REVIEWS
My son has been having lessons at school of rock for around four months and he loves absolutely everything about them! His teacher, Matt, is wonderful and very knowledgeable. Each lesson is more like a jam session of my son‘s favorite songs rather than anything too structured and yet he is still learning so much every week. He recently joined one of the performance groups as well which is a wonderful way to learn and develop all the skills a musician needs. School of rock teaches music in the way it should be taught; by keeping it fun and using the creativity of the students to develop their natural talents. It is a very inclusive community and every single member of staff has been so friendly and helpful. 10/10.
My daughter leaves her lessons smiling. No matter how her day went or how her week went for that matter, she comes out smiling. The feeling of accomplishment is completely evident in that smile and in her eyes. That tells me all I need to know. This is a very worthwhile investment we’re making in her future. The songwriting group amazes me because it’s something she’s wanted to do for years but didn’t know where to start. But they’ve made progress. I heard the recording. She’s moving her vocals from a classical/opera style to rock style. And learning guitar to boot. She’s involved. She loves her instructors. Absolutely. Worth. It.
The School of Rock has been a fantastic experience for my son. Learning and playing songs with other band members, in a controlled setting, has been a great way to better himself as a musician. On top of the practices and rehearsals, the live shows were exceptionally fun for the kids. Great program, wish I was young enough to join.

PITTSBURGH MUSIC ACADEMY REVIEWS
I'm sorry that there was a bad review of this place. I find it to have very dedicated teachers who truly care about their students having a quality music education but not at the expense of the rest of a students' interests. They understand children and how they learn, and their kindness results in children who have great experiences with music and want to continue. One of the most exciting aspects of PMA is the ability to group less experienced students with those who are more experienced during some group lessons. It allows the younger ones to have something to aspire to, and it teaches the older students how to model for the younger ones.
Two members of our family take lessons at PMA. The teachers are skilled, engaging, and incredibly supportive. We love our lessons and we highly recommend.
As a faculty member of PMA I appreciate the way this school preserves Suzuki education and creates a positive environment for both students and faculty.
