"Point State Park has 36.4 acres of parkland and is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon with a concrete promenade circling the rivers. The park has boating, a fishing pier, outdoor and indoor activities, environmental education, and interpretive and recreational programs. Point State Park is excellent for playing, running, and relaxing, with a great flat area for skating and an open grassy region.

2026 Update: Point State Park sits at the exact point where three major rivers meet to form the Ohio River, creating one of Pittsburgh’s most iconic scenic locations. The park preserves the historic grounds of Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne, both of which played major roles. The site is officially designated as a National Historic Landmark because of its military and historical significance in early American history."

2026 Update: Highland Park contains large water reservoirs that continue to play a role in Pittsburgh’s water supply system while also creating scenic walking loops and panoramic viewpoints. The Reservoir Loop is one of the city’s most popular walking, jogging, and cycling routes because of its smooth paved paths and open lake views."
