He completed a fellowship in Arthritis Surgery and Joint Replacement in Boston at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Smith has been in practice for over 20 years, performing over 10,000 shoulder, knee, and hip replacements. He continues to be one of the busiest, most experienced joint replacement surgeons in the southern United States. He works in Nashville, TN, and two other locations.”
