TOP 3 JACKSONVILLE ZOO AND GARDENS REVIEWS
Absolutely in love with the Jacksonville zoo! I was very impressed how the zoo was set up and the many exhibits that were there. Most all the animals were out and playing. I arrived at 9am on a Saturday (perfect weather kind of day) and I didn’t feel over crowded at the exhibits. Due to being military, we waiting in line for tickets, but the line to get in was not bad! They did offer extras to do but we didn’t stay long enough. It was a great “leg stretcher” after being in the car for a long road trip. We left by 11:15 and the parking lot was definitely full. I did love the vendors in the zoo! One of the vendors took phenomenal pictures of animals and sells them! They are affordable and great quality too! I really recommend this zoo and if we are back in the area, we are definitely going back !! The jaguars were definitely our favorite as well as the penguins!
Jacksonville Zoo Color of the Wild was amazing!!! A must see for all ages. As you walk the zoo grounds, you will encounter the most incredible lantern displays. From veggies, to butterfly, to safari animal to under the sea, to enchanting Japanese dragons. INCREDIBLE!!!! Probably took about an hour forty five to walk. Wheel chair stroller accessible. Children area to explore and food and shopping. Starbucks at entry. Clean bathrooms throughout. Plenty of parking and attendants kept great flow bringing guest in and out. You can purchase ticket in advance on line. Check weather and dress accordingly.
This Zoo is huge. The train ride was beautiful and so much fun! Also very informative. There are 2 places to get on and off. Me and my family spent almost 6 hours here, that was getting to see everything and eat. So it will make a day full. You can get closer to the animals than any zoo I have been too. It was really neat. I would say order your tickets online! I'm so glad we did. Also get the Total Experience! It is so worth it!

TOP 3 THE CUMMER MUSEUM REVIEWS
Can't tell you how many times I've been here. I love this place. Met my boyfriend here and took everyone I love. Students get in free, I believe and they have other discounts and free museum days all the time. The art is incredible, the facilities are clean and easy to navigate, and the gardens are beautiful. I always start from the section down the hall near the gift shop and bathrooms first and make my way down so I don't miss anything. I've never actually eaten at the Cafe but it always smells so good. There is a kid friendly zone past the Cafe that is a lot of fun for them.
Great museum to visit. A nice variety of art - from contemporary to modern to pieces from the 1500s. The gardens were great because the flowers were out. Three different gardens to walk through which made a good way to end the visit. For us, the featured installation was women's fashion in sports through out history. Very interesting! Give it a try.
I've loved this place since I was a child and we used to take the kids but haven't been in years. My daughter has been asking to go, so we did. The galleries have changed a bit, and the garden is bigger! I absolutely love the porcelain gallery, I think it's my favorite display. The gardens are always beautiful with the giant shady oak trees, and so relaxing, I could sit there all day. One of the best places in Jax in my opinion.

TOP 3 THE CATTY SHACK RANCH WILDLIFE SANCTUARY REVIEWS
Such a fun place to visit! Highly recommend coming for the night feedings. Not only were the animals more active but you also get to speak with volunteers/employees and learn so much more than usual. The shack also has 3 cute house kitties running around that are so sweet too - definitely pet if you see them! Very cool preserve and will be coming back to support in the future.
This was an awesome experience! It's better than a zoo. They have beautiful cats,a bear, foxes.,many more..a must visit! Well taken care of animals and beautiful property. The show, feeding the animals was amazing to watch..The caretakers, and owners were nice, friendly and very hands on. If you get a chance,visit...great place..and donate to them..they take very good care of the animals, some were abandoned, displaced..
I have lived in Nassau County and Duval County my entire life and have failed to make it here until yesterday. It was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be back. We did the enrichment tour which was really fun as the cats got really excited about the boxes of chicken and were super active. The volunteers were really amazing and told us all about the cats and their personalities/ why the cats are at catty shack. It was a great time.
