The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a safe, loving, forever home for endangered big cats and other animals and to educate the public about their plight in the wild and in captivity. The site was developed to protect, rescue, and care for big cats. The Sanctuary's primary focus is to rescue exotic animals from serious situations. It is home to tigers, lions, pumas, caracals, lynx, servals, bears, foxes, and coatimundis. In addition, Catty Shack Ranch educates visitors about the animals' plight in the wild and in captivity. They are open every day with admittance between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. After entering, visitors can explore the Sanctuary on a self-guided tour, and they also now offer guided tours at 12:30 and 2:00 at no additional charge. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions of the volunteers or staff. In addition, they have a concession stand where various drinks and select food items are available and bathrooms on site. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Night feedings happen on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday only; self-guided tours start at 6 p.m. and the feeding of the big cats starts at 7 p.m.
