JACKSONVILLE ZOO AND GARDENS REVIEWS
This zoo is PERFECT! Just the right size for a day trip. It’s easy to get from one part to the next. I recommend taking the train as soon as you enter so you can start at the furthest part then work your way in. Everything is priced extremely well. The splash pad is so perfect to just get your feet wet or let the kiddos get full out soaked. The staff was very accommodating and the full experience was well worth it. The animals are well cared for and had great exhibits.
Great zoo. Went on a Monday. Staff is educated and friendly. The cafe is only open on weekends and we were looking forward to eating there. It's clean and plenty of places to sit if you need a rest. Could use newer signage on animals. Maps throughout the zoo would be great too.
I love the zoo! Okay so first of all the staff is very friendly and the animals looked healthy. I lost my bank card and I was able to retrieve it at the lost and found. The 4D shows was an experience and a half my family and I appreciated. The giraffe feeding was great they are so cute! The goats were very calm and I mean calm with everyone. It's a great experience. Ps. It's a full day go early and enjoy.

CUMMER MUSEUM OF ART & GARDENS REVIEWS
The gardens here are absolutely captivating. I could’ve stayed here for hours! The view of the river is gorgeous and the greenery is stunning. Great for a photo backdrop. The best part has to be the baby raccoons we saw, though. Very serene. The art was also very interesting, especially the remaining room of the house. Great way to spend your evening!
We went on a Friday afternoon. The museum is actually free from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Fridays. Lovely place filled with interesting exhibits. I love the variability of the exhibits. From the beautiful gardens, to sculpture, art, they even had live music outside of the Asian Art Exhibit. I love the quiet peace and the mediums were Feast for the eyes. This is great for families, date night, or the individual. Definitely check this out!
This was my first visit to the Cummer Museum of Art. It was much nicer and larger than I anticipated. Many, many exhibits of beautiful paintings, sculptures, and ancient artifacts spanning thousands of years. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, the garden was closed due to weather. I highly recommend a visit if you're an art lover and even if not, do it once for the experience.

The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary was developed to protect, rescue, and care for big cats. The Sanctuary's primary focus is to rescue exotic animals from serious situations. It is home to tigers, lions, pumas, leopards, lynx, servals, foxes, and coatimundis. In addition, Catty Shack Ranch educates visitors about the animals' plight in the wild and in captivity. They are open in the afternoon every day with admittance between 1 pm and 3 pm. After entering, visitors explore the Sanctuary in a self-guided tour, and most people take 45 minutes to an hour or more to tour the grounds. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions of the volunteers. Their mission is to provide a safe, loving, forever home for endangered big cats and to educate the public about their plight in the wild and captivity. In addition, they have a concession stand where various drinks and select food items are available. Night feedings happen on Friday and Saturday only. Self-guided tours start at 6 pm.

THE CATTY SHACK RANCH WILDLIFE SANCTUARY REVIEWS
Such a great local hidden gem! If you're looking for a great way to support animals this place is a must see! Beautiful rescued tigers and other big cats. They're a volunteer based organization and working hard to provide these gorgeous creatures with new comfortable habitats to enjoy! A must see !
The night feeding experience was fantastic! They have a wide variety of big cats and a handful of other exotic animals and watching them get their dinner was a real treat. My girl and I even sponsored one of the tigers. Totally worth it! Can't wait to go again.
I've been here twice on field trips for my kids with New Berlin Elementary. Both times we've gone, our guides were knowledgeable, patient, and great with the kids! It's small, so it doesn't take long to walk through. They are doing a lot of additions and upgrades to the cages for the animals, so I imagine it will be nicer and larger when they are done.
