The Gibbon Conservation Center is a non-profit organization that promotes the conservation and research of the gibbon. The center was founded in 1976 by Alan Richard Mootnick. The center is home to more than 40 highly endangered gibbon apes (small apes). The Gibbon Conservation Center has a picnic area that is suitable for parties and gatherings. The conservation center encourages student visits and tours. Guided tours are available on Saturdays and Sundays. You can also get a Golden Gibbon membership and a Silver Gibbon membership. The center aims to promote the conservation, study, and care of gibbons through public education and habitat preservation.

Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons showcases music, dance, and theater performances in sleek, modern surroundings. The $18.3 million facility, which includes a magnificent 7,500 sq. ft proscenium theater with a state-of-the-art sound system, 886 seats, and an experimental Black Box theater, was funded by the State of California ($15.9 million) and the City of Santa Clarita ($2.4 million). The 47,000 sq. ft center emphasizes community, instructional, and professional entertainment and informational programs. The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons is also designed with a green room, scene shops, costume and property storage, an orchestra pit, make-up and dressing room areas, lockers, showers, a ticket booth, and a snack bar.

Cougar Stadium is the home of five College of the Canyons intercollegiate teams. The stadium hosts various games, concerts, and other events. The stadium plays host to the 2008 and 2010 Men’s and Women’s Soccer State Championships. The stadium track was wholly resurfaced with a new 7 mm layer of rubber and granules before being restriped with official collegiate track/field markings. The pole vault, long jump, and triple jump runways were resurfaced entirely as well. Cougar Stadium has a seating capacity of 7,500 and features a two-level press box that can hold coaches, press, a play-by-play team, and television cameras.
