This park is excellent. It is a center piece to a beautiful city. Be it for a festival, picnic, or hike, Zilker is an excellent place to visit. I have been going to ACL, and Trail of Lights at Zilker for many years, as well as the occasional picnic and dog walk. The view of the skyline is wonderful.

McKinney Falls State Park is a very nice place to stay while visiting Austin. You feel like you are out in nature while being 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Austin. The park is a bit tight to get around with a larger rig but the sites are nice and separated by trees and space. You do not feel like you are on top of your neighbors. Also there are several nice hikes to be had on the park.
