"Harvey Penick Golf Campus is a 112-acre public facility that houses a 9-hole PGA Tour golf course. They have a 3-hole short course with a grass or mat driving range, two practice greens, and one putting and one chipping green. The course also offers one of the more enjoyable experiences for the average golfer. Their public daily-fee course offers golfers a taste of the quality golf that pro players compete on in one of the most beautiful areas of Texas. The 9-hole course is impeccably maintained by the green keepers, offering lush fairways and smooth greens that are both fun and challenging. The golf course is open 364 days a year.

2026 Update: Harvey Penick Golf Campus follows regulations to allow people who must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license for golf cart rental. The 18-hole footgolf course is situated directly on the 9-hole track, with an average of 2 Footgolf holes. The club offers a range of facilities for rental, which include corporate outings, group outings, team building events, and birthday parties, making it a great destination."

"Butler Pitch & Putt is a pitch and putt course with 3 par-9 holes and putting greens, plus bar food and a beer garden. The golf course began as a dream by residents Douglas and Winston Kinser in 1948. They wanted to design and build a green space for the citizens of Austin. The two men built and opened the course one hole at a time. The official opening took place two years later on June 1, 1950. Butler Pitch & Putt's pair ran the golf course together until Douglas's untimely death in 1951. They hosted an evening golf event with approximately 35 guests. The golf course offers challenging play to golfers of all levels and ages. The course features real grass greens, with hole distances ranging from 60 to 120 yards.

2026 Update: Butler Pitch & Putt is a family-friendly environment that allows babies and strollers. The club offers balls and clubs for rental at affordable prices. The club is operated by Pecan Grove Golf Partners (PGGP)."

. I have been a long time customer at least 5 or 6 years and do most of my practicing at Avery Ranch. The facilities have improved a lot especially in the past couple of years. I normally finish my practice with a drink in the bar and Rosie is usually one of the staff working the bar and she really represents Avery Ranch GC very professionally and provides great service and conversation with the customers. the grill menu has recently improved as well.

Two out-of-towners who played a round and rented clubs, and had a really good time. Nice course that's challenging but offers scoring chances, friendly and helpful staff throughout and the hire clubs were a good set so felt reasonably priced.

Course is very picturesque and offers a great amount of risk reward holes! Fairways play great! If I am in the area it’s definitely worth a trip to play!

Great Course to take friends to. They have a driving area. They have carts to rent. Staff is very helpful and fun. Course is maintained well. Lots of challenging holes but fun to play. Easy to navigate the course. Has multiple spots to tee off from for all experience levels. Definitely a quiet spot that has great views.

Stopped by today to try the driving range here, but found out it closes early on Monday. Myron recommended I try their short course which is 3 par 3 holes for $7. It’s definitely not the nicest course in town, but for a quick afternoon pop-in at a super price, it fits the bill. I’ll be back for sure!

Foot golf is a lot of fun. My son and his friends loved it. The Harvey Penick course was a great place to host a birthday party.

BUTLER PITCH & PUTT REVIEWS

A super fun and chill par 3 golf course where you can bring your dog, your kid, your date, your booze or whatever. Rules are for the country club, and this place is great for a quick round to work on your short game. The greens are large vut very slow. I have been here a dozen times and plan to go back a dozen more.

This is probably my favorite place in Austin. I’ve had many, many hours of fun here. The people and vibes are so nice, it’s very easy to make friends. The property is very well kept. This course requires a lot of self control to not hit your golf ball into the street. I love this place.

A real great little course to practice your short game on. I had a blast here. I would recommend it to anyone. Very friendly and helpful staff, and they also serve beer which is a nice touch.
