Scales is one of those hidden gems that makes you wonder how you didn't discover it sooner. The only criticism I have is that they deserve much more visibility because this place is truly phenomenal. We happened to stumble across it by chance, and it has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and attentive, making every visit a great experience. The seafood is incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, and it's clear that a lot of care goes into every dish. I especially appreciate the generous portions and the perfect seasoning—everything is consistently delicious and satisfying. As someone who loves supporting local businesses, I'm thrilled to have found Scales. I make it a point to visit once or twice a month, and it never disappoints. If you're looking for outstanding seafood and exceptional service, this place is a must-visit. Five stars all the way.

Everything they say about this place is TRUE !!! An amazing fish shop/ restaurant/ Spanish bodega … I loved it all … specially the super fresh oyster from Jersey!! A little pricey but worth it! Do yourself a favor and go.

SCALE Fish Market delivers fantastic quality seafood paired with excellent, knowledgeable staff. The unassuming space completely surpassed our expectations. They’re cranking out delicious seafood in the kitchen just as fast as they’re selling it by the pound in the market up front. We tried the mussels (the broth was so flavorful!), pulpo with papas bravas, and prawn al ajillo — some of the freshest shrimp I’ve tasted. The fish and chips platter was huge and easily enough for three people to share. The fritto misto was perfectly seasoned and fried. Another bonus: it’s BYOB, which is always a plus. ???? The staff was attentive and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. Definitely worth the trip.

Our recent visit to Battello to celebrate my mother‘s birthday, was truly exceptional. The food was not only fresh and fragrant but also meticulously prepared. Our server, Tammy, provided over-the-top service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our meal. Carmine, the manager also added a personal touch that elevated the dining experience. I would highly recommend.

Quick PATH or ferry ride from Manhattan, and pleasant stroll along the waterfront will bring you to this excellent restaurant looking east toward the city. Very popular with reservations strongly recommended. The service was very good. And the food was excellent; with options for all eating preferences.

Went for a work event and it was fantastic! Nice ambiance inside. Appetizers and main buffet foods were all delicious. Staff was attentive. Amazing views too.
