3 Best Veterinary Clinics in Tucson, AZ

We called the three animal hospitals on the east side after an emergency with our dog. Two of the hospitals we called were beyond rude and one refused to give us a wait time or quote for services. The person we spoke with at Civano (kicking myself for not getting her name, but she was at the checkout desk Friday night) was kind and immediately gave us a price as well as wait times. We ended up heading in earlier just in case they could see us and and they did. We ended up checking out after xrays and a visit with the vet before our scheduled appointment time - AND our price was less than the quote we received. We had heard here and there that Civano was super expensive, but that wasn't the case for us at all. We hope we don't need an emergency vet again, but if we do we'll definitely head back to Civano.

I utilized Civano Animal Hospital for post-surgical, overnight observation due to a complicated spay, because the spaying vet's office did not provide overnight care. The staff at Civano provided several detailed updates on Storm's status throughout the night and clear, detailed oral and written release directions the next day, with a follow-up phone call to check on her status. An actual Vet and techs were on staff at all times. Overall we are very impressed with the level of care provided. This establishment is costly, but commensurate with the level of care and quality of the facilities. Of course Storm is doing much better.

This hospital is fantastic! We were shocked to find out that our 8 year old dog needed to have his spleen removed. The immediate care and attention was amazing. We received phone calls on a daily basis with updates on his condition and how he was doing. We were also able to visit him daily in the ER despite their busy schedule. Everyone there was very helpful and caring. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for saving our boy!!.

The office manager Megan gave us a friendly greeting upon arrival. There was a sign on display welcoming by name all of the patients being seen that day. My cat was seen very quickly, and I was allowed to go into the examing room with her. Both the vet assistant and doctor were very kind and gentle with my cat and made me feel that they took a personal interest in her. All charges were explained clearly. My experience with St. Mary's was in stark contrast to my last experience at a veterinary clinic in Tucson, which had been less than satisfactory. I definitely recommend the caring staff at St. Mary's Animal Clinic.

Was amazing at giving me options for my cat, Todd. Even helped through bad news by being able to offer the best solution to allow my cat to go peacefully at home. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for us and to help give me suggestions to help the other pets at home going through this hard time. I am grateful to be able to take my cat here and get him as much help as possible.

We spend the winter in Tucson, and I needed a Vet. A friend recommended St. Mary’s and I’m so glad they did. Dr. Scott was spot on and very nice and informative. Office staff and assistants as well very very curious and ready to help.
