I attended an opening reception, where I had the opportunity to meet some of the artists, which added a personal touch to the experience. The works on display ranged from stunning paintings to innovative sculptures, each with a unique story. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to share insights about the artists and their inspirations. I particularly enjoyed the interactive installations that encouraged viewer participation. The gallery also offers workshops, making it a great place for art enthusiasts to engage further. Overall, Gallery 22 is a vibrant cultural hub that fosters creativity and community.

Agora Gallery is an absolute gem in the heart of Chelsea’s art district. The space is beautifully curated, showcasing an incredible selection of contemporary artworks from talented international and emerging artists. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about connecting artists with collectors, making every visit feel like a personalized experience. Their exhibitions are always thoughtfully arranged, creating a perfect blend of artistic expression and innovation. SALMAGUNDI REVIEWS

This hidden gem is a cross between an art gallery and a contemporary art museum. The artwork on display changes all the time, and is created by the club’s 1000+ members (and some of it is available for purchase). It’s housed in a rare double wide townhouse on Fifth Avenue, which itself is a piece of historic art. The gallery is open to the public for free. There’s a dining room and bar downstairs with beautiful stained glass artwork. It’s open to club members and guests. Arrange for a tour to understand the context of the artwork and the place Salmagundi holds in the art world.

Really fun & interesting place to stop by for awhile. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. And the art on display, as well as the old brownstone that houses it all, makes it well worth a visit.

This place is truly a delight! Open to the public and remarkably affordable art should you be inclined to buy. Don’t miss it.

The space is open, minimal, and beautifully lit—perfect for showcasing a wide range of contemporary artists. Even better, admission is free, making it an easy and inspiring cultural stop. The gallery often features big names alongside emerging talent, and their programming feels both accessible and ambitious. A great reminder that NYC’s art scene isn’t limited to museums.

I had the opportunity to visit the David Zwirner Art Gallery and explore the exhibition featuring the work of Stan Douglas. His pieces were both striking and unconventional, blending complex narratives with powerful visual elements. The exhibition left a lasting impression —Douglas's unique approach to storytelling through art was both intellectually engaging and visually captivating. Impressive.

A lovely gallery featuring Yayoi Kusama. The line for the infinity room was insane and is outside. If you want to get there - prepare sunscreen or an umbrella. If skipping the infinity room, go behind the installation - there is a room with Kusama's paintings.
