Mike was amazing at setting us up with the perfect instructor: Aaron. He does guitar and piano with my 2 kids. My 10 year old daughter can be a handful but Aaron is amazing with her to get her to focus, progress but still have tons of fun. My 13 year old son is thriving in his guitar. Before, my son resisted his lesson and wanted to quit. But now he looks forward to lessons with Aaron and is loving playing! I’m very impressed with their progress and Aaron’s teaching style. So happy we found Mike!!

Mike is an excellent teacher and worth spending time with. Ive struggled with improvising, particularly blues soloing, but Mike has outlined some key concepts and a straight forward blueprint to consider as target notes working through a standard blue progression. His teaching approach is very flexible for any style of music and his encouragement is contagious. If you haven’t already, contact Mike and try a lesson. You wont be disappointed.

Mike is a pleasure to work with and very responsive. Our teacher, Aaron, is wonderful. He has been amazing with my 6-year-old son. He’s patient, engaging, and knows exactly how to make the lessons fun and easy to follow. My son really looks forward to his time with Aaron. Would highly recommend!

My son loves taking his drum lessons here, he looks forward to them all the time. His instructor, the staff everyone is very pleasant to work with, very patient, caring and professional. We truly recommend this music school.

All staff are friendly and inviting. My children love taking classes and I appreciate that the teachers allow you to sit in on classes. Overall fantastic experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to sign their child up.

My son loves his drum teacher Mr. Rich! He has been very patience and take his time to understands what his students need are. My son enjoys playing drum and singing with him.

BROOKLYN MUSIC SCHOOL REVIEWS

The BMS has been a revelation for my daughter, who had previously spent 3-4 years playing violin when we decided to switch her over to cello, assuming the skills would carry over. Well, thanks to both her private instructor at BMS as well as her orchestral group her development has accelerated faster than even we expected. She’s since participated in a recital trip to Paris and had the most amazing group learning experience. The teachers and faculty are becoming like family and this is probably the biggest factor in our daughter’s learning process. She looks forward to attending lessons, and that right there is the gamechanger. Of course none of this would matter if the instructors weren’t tier musicians themselves, but they are, so I am comfortable knowing that their skills and talent are rubbing off on our 9 year-old girl. I personally cannot wait for my five year-old piano playing son to begin attending the school and unlocking his full potential. If you have a child that you want to introduce to the musical arts, I can’t think of a better home for music than the Brooklyn Music School.

Fantastic performances today at the BMS. The quality of the teaching is obviously excellent. The catecabut theirxstudents and you can feel tgst in every oerson that performs. Great range of music outreach.

I go to the musical theater program every semester! Brooklyn music school is a safe,historic and inspiring experience,I’d recommend it for everyone.
