“2026 Update: 9/11 Memorial & Museum offers visitors an opportunity to learn and explore the victims of the 9/11 and 1993 attacks. The museum remembers and honours the 2,983 people killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993, and those who risked their lives to save other people and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath of the attacks. Visitors and children can get to know about the museum through the interactive video experience by choosing different paths through the Museum’s vast spaces and exhibitions. The museum inscribed the names of 2,983 victims on 152 bronze parapets on the memorial pools. 9/11 Memorial & Museum features a survivor tree, which recovered from the rubble at the World Trade Centre site in October 2001. The museum has a wide range of collections which include more than 40,000 images, more than 3,500 oral recordings, 14,000 artifacts and over 500 hours of video. ”

“2026 Update: Museum of the City of New York was founded by Henry Collins Brown. The Museum features amassed collection of exceptional items, which includes several of Eugene O'Neill's manuscripts, a collection of 750,000 objects, costumes, paintings, sculptures, toys, prints, photographs, decorative arts, and theatrical memorabilia. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is an incredibly powerful and emotional place. The memorial pools are beautiful and deeply moving, creating a space that feels peaceful and respectful. The museum itself is very well organized and tells the story in a thoughtful and impactful way. It’s not an easy visit emotionally, but it’s an important one. Definitely a meaningful experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting New York City.

We made a conscious effort to visit the memorial & museum. So glad we did, we felt that needed to visit here to pay our respects to the victims & families. All I can say is that it is a beautiful memorial & fitting tribute. Everything was built around consultation with the victims families making it even more special. The 14 min video brought all the feelings back from that fateful day. Highly recommend the museum

This place is amazing! The film created for the museum is touching and thought evoking. It provides a better understanding of how complex these situations really are. Thank you to our armed services who put their lives on the line daily. You are our heroes!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Brooklyn Museum in Jan 26 to see the Monet & Venice Exhibition before it left. I have always enjoyed Monet's works and this did not disappoint. It was a real treat to see a few of his Waterlily pieces up close and in person. Didn't have a whole lot of time to explore the rest that the Brooklyn Museum offers but what little I did see was amazing. You could spend days here. Special shout out to the museum's café! We had lunch and enjoyed some of their bakery items. The tomato soup really hit the spot on a chilly day and who doesn't find comfort in the traditional grilled cheese and tomato soup combo? Top it off with some baked cookies with some interesting twists in flavor. Super yum!

The Brooklyn Museum is a hidden gem in NYC! With its diverse collections and thought-provoking exhibits, it's a must-visit for art lovers and curious minds alike. From ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary installations, there's something for everyone. The building itself is a work of art, with a stunning Beaux-Arts facade and a beautiful sculpture garden. Plus, the views of Manhattan from the rooftop are! Whether you're a local or just visiting, the Brooklyn Museum is a must-see destination in NYC. Get your tickets and explore!

Absolutely excellent museum and surprisingly huge. It is well worth a visit. Good mix of more modern art with ancient and traditional and lots of open spaces for relaxing or reflecting. The fifth floor in particular is laid out to invite lots of thought on how museums display art. Very fascinating.

A Hidden Gem for NYC History Lovers I’m so glad I took the time to visit this museum—it’s truly a hidden gem! The building itself is beautiful, and the exhibits are thoughtfully curated with something for every learning style. You’ll find artifacts from different eras, informative displays, and engaging videos that bring the city’s rich history to life. Don’t miss the 30-minute film on the history of NYC—shown across three screens—it’s a must-see! The museum also has a nice café and large air-conditioned bathrooms, which are a bonus and elevators. Conveniently located not far from a bus line, this spot is both accessible and enjoyable. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike.

I was pleasantly surprised by the exhibits. Online I didn't think I'd find anything to enjoy but opted to visit on a free Wednesday since all of the fashion exhibits were permanently closed now. I was happy to see that some garments remained in the ballroom portion of the music and dance through the ages exhibit and some select small items in the other exhibit rooms to satisfy my desire for fashion in NYC. Im happy we made the journey out

First time visiting this museum. I loved it. They have a permanent exhibit on the cultural history of New York City on the ground floor, and rotating exhibits upstairs. I loved the one about music and dance. Had a great intro to the museum from a super nice guide. Recommended!
