PECULIER PUB REVIEWS

Great selection of beer and cider, and they do take cards with a $20 minimum. Our server was friendly and helpful, everything came quickly. The beer menu is overwhelmingly large, and they have more ciders than I've seen anywhere else in NYC. A good menu for bar bites and food, which is pretty good for bar food. The decorations here are great though, keep an eye out for bottle cap versions of all sorts of famous paintings.

Love coming here but usually it’s a beer night when I go. Came on Friday and ordered a Dirty Martini. Felt like a brave choice but that is what the night needed. The bartender made one so delicious and filthy the entire table talked about it for the rest of the night. Moral of the story, Peculier Pub may not look like a cocktail lounge but take the risk it may just pay off.

My social group meets up here on a weekly basis. The bartenders are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is usually chill, it’s a nice local vibe.

MCMAHON'S PUBLIC HOUSE REVIEWS

McMahon’s Public House offers a classic pub experience with a warm, old-school charm. The rich wood interior, brick walls, and vintage sports memorabilia create a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxing with friends or catching a game. The long bar is impressive, featuring a wide lineup of draft beers and a well-stocked selection of spirits. Multiple TVs ensure you won’t miss any sports action, no matter where you sit. The dining area is spacious, with plenty of tables for larger groups, and the upstairs area adds extra room for events or busy nights. While the menu posted outside shows familiar pub favorites, the real draw here is the inviting vibe, friendly staff, and great drink selection that keeps guests coming back.

I had an amazing night here, the customer service and the drinks were absolutely amazing. We asked the server Katie for recommendation’s and they were all really good. They also show the live games on tv and will show any game you ask for. I will for sure be back! Highly recommend.

Had the BEST evening here. Jerry was the best bartender, so nice, friendly, and very active, didn’t have to wait for service at all. The food and drinks were amazing and I will definitely make the trip back out here!

Stopped in here for dinner and a beer. Was seated immediately at around 530pm on a Wednesday. The place was busy but not overly packed. Loud, but expectedly so. I got a John Doyle’s burger that was deceptively small, almost slider sized, but it was packed with two thick patties perfectly cooked to medium as requested. A Shepard Pie was also had that was very good, but I’m not necessarily a shepherd’s pie aficionado. I got a John Doyle’s Lager and it was ice cold and delicious. I would 100% return for that burger and beer!

At Jack Doyle's, my husband and I have forged a wonderful relationship with this bar, particularly during Arsenal games. We thoroughly enjoy their wings, Magners cider, and engaging conversations with fellow fans at the bar. The staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating when it comes to reserving tables for upcoming games. If you find yourself in New York City and happen to be an Arsenal fan, definitely swing by and check out this bar.

Flew into town a bit early to watch a Vikings game here! It didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere, and the place was totally decked out in Christmas stuff too! Super fun experience!
