CREATIVE GROWTH ART CENTER REVIEWS

Absolutely love the artwork from Creative Growth! The talent and originality of the artists is incredible — every piece tells a story. This space is so important; it empowers artists with developmental disabilities to thrive and share their unique voices. I highly recommend visiting the gallery and supporting this amazing community—you’ll walk away inspired (and probably with some art you’ll treasure forever). The staff and artists have a created a vortex of joy right in the middle of Oakland.

My son goes to here twice of a week. Staffs are very kind, and the place has safe environment with variety of art supplies including digital art. My son has enjoyed making his masterpieces.

Went to an art show opening that was spectacular. What an amazing program, great mission. Right in the heart of Oakland.

JOYCE GORDON GALLERY REVIEWS

A very historic event and emotionally charged personal individual struggles, against all barriers to write and publish various novels/books. The historians, teachers and writers proved without a shadow of a doubt their positive stories will spread life lessons beyond the walls of Joyce Gordon's Gallery! It was a Power to the People session, kinship and Love! Peace... Coach!

I was there for a live monologue and it was a very gorgeous art gallery! I got a chance to check out the artwork after the show and it was a feast for the senses. I will be going back to fully immerse myself and purchase some pieces.

Joyce is lovely, personable, and here for the culture. The gallery taught me things I never knew about Af - Am fine arts! Definitely will swing through again next time I'm on the west coas

VESSEL GALLERY REVIEWS

I have always enjoyed my visits to Vessel Gallery and the Vessel Satellite space. Lonnie creates a welcoming space filled with so many textures and colors and mediums of fine art. I always learn something about the artistic process or the artist when I attend a show or drop in during Friday night Art Crawl events. Lonnie has a flare for the details of spacing, lighting and presentation to make each piece of art really stand out. She is friendly, approachable and always available for questions and so knowledgeable about the artists that she presents. I highly recommend a visit to her collection no matter which site she is planning to hold her showcase. New space coming soon.
