The Common on Thornton is truly a gem in assisted living and memory care. From the moment you walk in, the environment feels warm, welcoming, and genuinely home-like. The staff here go above and beyond—not just professional, but compassionate and deeply caring. They treat every resident like family, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and kindness. The community itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and safety. Whether it’s daily activities, meals, or just everyday interactions, everything is done with heart. It gives such peace of mind knowing residents and staff members is in such good hands. I can’t recommend The Common on Thornton enough!

All in all The Commons on Thonton is wonderful. The best about the Commons is the staff. They are all wonderful people, so giving, just like family. What ever is asked they deliver and you usually don't have to ask. They are friendly, kind and make the residents feel like very special people. The Commons offers a wide variety of activities and the facility is very well kept. They are currently remodeling and the place shines, and is looking great. If I had to complain about something it may be the food. It use to be much better a couple of years ago, but I find lately the main course has a lot of sauce and very little meat.(protein) Last night there was one shrimp in the dinner. When they serve beef you are lucky to get 2 small bites. The side dishes are all good. Salads, soups and deserts are very tasty. My opinion might be bias because Im Italian and we like good tasty food. All the sauces make everything taste the same.Need to serve fresh fruit more often too.One other side note, the cleaning people clean well, but they never dust the furniture. All in all I am happy we put my sister into this facility. She often says she feels like a queen while at the Commons.

I’m new here in Stockton and was able to experience the hospitality and kindness of the Common Assited living and memory care. I am so impressed of how staff such as Jill,Katlyn , Gen, cheqiu and everyone cares about their residents. Even the front staff such as Denise and Andrew shows how important and welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to many families.
