Staff was great and friendly. My husband had the ribs and smoked pork belly he LOVED IT. He has a dairy and egg allergy and had no issues here. I got the pulled pork, it was kind of bland without any sauce on it. Kids had Mac and cheese and wings. It was delicious. Visiting from NY.

Our group of five had dinner at West Ashley Swig & Swine on Feb 19. We ordered the family platter with brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, ribs, pork belly, and 3 sides. The food was fantastic! Our server, Kirby, was awesome! This is now our go to place for BBQ in Charleston.

Christie was AMAZING! The food was delicious & the service was even better. We’re on a family vacation and she served our table with ease. A lot of people can be difficult but she was great!

LEWIS BARBECUE CHARLESTON REVIEWS

It’s hard to find better BBQ in the South than Lewis BBQ. This is the 2nd location we have eaten at, the first being the Greenville one. We have tried the pulled pork, chopped brisket, ribs, mac n cheese,m and fries. They’re all delicious. Although I prefer the brisket to any other meats. It’s moist and flavorful. The sauces they offer are homemade and to die for. This location was packed on a Saturday for lunch so we had to park far away and wait in line for a fairly long time. I think this goes to show how good the place is. Once you get the food, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is nice and helpful when ordering. This is some of the best BBQ you’ll eat and that’s guaranteed. But it costs more than most BBQ joints just keep that in mind.

I loved the atmosphere and the feel of the building. Very spacious with tons of seating inside and outside. As you walk in you are at a bar where you can get yourself a beer or cocktail. Then you enter the restaurant where the service is in front of you. You tell them what you want and they cut and prepare it for you in front of you. The brisket is amazing and the ribs are fantastic also. The two sides I got were corn pudding and collard greens and I wasnt disappointed. Definitely recommend this spot to everyone. Make sure you get here early or be prepared for a long line, but that's why they have the bar. Lewis is for the the WIN 10/10.

Just incredible. We've only had time for takeout meats in the past, but today we dined in for the Sunday special - chicken fried steak! Man ... Best I've ever had, and I've had a few. Completely worth it.

We decided to make Rodney Scott’s BBQ our first stop when we got to Charleston and we’re happy we did. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, the smoked chicken wings (with Kathy’s BBQ sauce), and the brisket sandwich. Everything came out really fast and i appreciated the depth of flavor, especially from the smoked chicken wings. I can see how their efficiency combined with the strong flavors makes for a great local option for BBQ and a great family option as well.

Delicious BBQ and southern foods. Casual atmosphere. Great sitting outside. Relax and enjoy great food with your friends and family. We tried pulled pork, brisket, hush puppies, collard greens, coleslaw, and corn bread. All good.

Best chicken strips I've ever eaten. The huspuppies and corn bread were delicious as were all the other sides. My husband said the pulled pork was perfect!
