"Bludso's BBQ serves BBQ meats, sides, and cocktails in a relaxed setting. The restaurant was started by the Bludso family in Corsicana, Texas, and they have been preparing slow-smoked BBQ for five generations. In 2008, Kevin opened Bludso's BBQ, a small takeout stand in Compton. They became popular to the point that it later grew to include locations in California, Texas, and even Australia. The chef, Kevin Bludso, is also a TV personality and a two-time winner of the Steve Harvey Hoodie Award. All the meats are seasoned with special dry rubs and slow-smoked for up to 14 hours using real hardwood logs, charcoal, and fire. Bludso's BBQ can cater events of any size. They also serve happy hour food and great cocktails. They also have locations in La Brea, Santa Monica, and Van Nuys and offer takeout, delivery, and catering services.

2026 Update: At Bludso's BBQ, family meals are available for takeout, while the kids' menu is available for in-store orders. Their sandwiches and lunch specials are offered on weekdays from 11 am to 4 pm."

Haven't been here since I was a youngster when my dad and I came years ago they have the best BBQ in the valley of Southern California. This pa e has been here for years. If you love BBQ as much as I do you will love this place. Great food, atmosphere, and service. You definetly wont be disappointed.

Everything we ordered was excellent!! Delicious, juicy beef, perfect flavor, not salty, not too sweet. Liked the services. Waitresses were too kind and patient with us.

I've been coming here for several years, after going to the airport. It has changed hands, but still serves quality BBQ. The Bear Pit Special sandwich is my go to meal, make sure to get it on the Garlic Toast. You have to get the Deep Fried Potatoes (which used to be called "Deep Fries") as they are the Bomb! They now have a spicy BBQ sauce, beyond their original sweet sauce. Still kinda of a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but service is still good and the food still rocks.

If you love BBQ, then this is the place to get your hands messing. Food was delicious.

Loved the beef ribs. Tasty garlic bread!! Yum. I’d come back and prices were ok for Cali.
