ROOTS INDIAN BISTRO REVIEWS

I recently dined at The Roots in Los Angeles, and the experience was exceptional. This is one of those rare Indian restaurants where the chefs bring a truly innovative touch to traditional flavors, creating a beautiful fusion that still feels authentic. The food was outstanding—so much so that I ended up visiting twice on back-to-back days. The staff deserves a special mention. They were extremely courteous, attentive, and focused on every detail to ensure a comfortable dining experience. The ambience is lively and welcoming, and the location adds to the overall charm. Overall, The Roots delivered an amazing blend of creativity, flavor, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable Indian dining experience in LA.

This was such an amazing experience. The food was absolutley phenomenal! Salmon tikka masala, Lamb briyani, garlic naan, sooo clean and classic the, flavors so rich and deep. Paneer fries w/ tofu were an amazing surprise and the cucumber salad was the fresh acidic palette cleanser I needed to go between such flavorful dishes. Big thanks to the staff and chefs for their hospitality and a wonderful night.

What a gem! An amazing restaurant with the best customer service. You can tell it’s family owned as soon as you walk into doors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is incredible, innovative and delicious. We tried multiple things and everything was on point. Everyone we talk to was so welcoming and friendly! We had a blast! Can’t wait to come back and try more things.

Great taste, Great Ambience, open till 1 am at night. Near Hollywood blvd. Mr Singh Sahab was great host, very warm welcome and great conversation. Prices are good. Recommended: Chicken Tikka and naan. Very good place for tasty indian food! Visit this place of you're craving for some authentic indian food <3.

Superb Indian spot. Could tell immediately by looking at the quality of the menu. The lamb biryani was the star of the show but all the curry’s were good. The naan was alright and mango lassi was refreshing.

Excellent food and service late at night, was super chill vibes - the guys who run this place work so hard and are so nice ! The onion bhaji was such a filling and delicious appetizer I didn’t get more like expected. Def a gem in LA - cleaned my plate.

Amazing authentic South Indian food, really delicious. The owners and staff are very friendly and provided great service. Loved all of the food, particularly the Kerala Chicken curry. The porotta and the appam were so good too! You must try this.

Mayura is the best Indian food in the whole Sothern California, specializing in Kerala cuisine. Many of the dishes on the menu are not found in any other Indian restaurants which makes this place very special and unique. Excellent quality and consistently good. We will be back.
