URTH CAFFE REVIEWS
We were planning to only eat here once, but we just couldn’t resist another visit before leaving downtown LA! The food and drinks were so good that we were happily “forced” to change our plans. We also got first row seats to an impromptu puppy play session while we were waiting for our delicious food Parking: I dropped off my family to stand in line while I looked for parking, and this seemed to work out (the line was long but moved quickly)
Everything here is delicious! Great atmosphere. It's a good place to take a date or to spend some time with a loved one. I come here with my daughter often and we have the best conversations sitting out in the patio.
It was delicious! Visiting with my friends from MN. Great variety and delicious coffee and bakery items.

THE GRIDDLE CAFE REVIEWS
Second visit to this jewel of breakfast restaurants. First what I didn't like: the AC is strong and cold. Even the staff warn that some tables are a bit "windy". Make sure you wear a sweater or something similar, you might get a stiff neck after your visit if you don't... Coffee is good, served on a french press serving up to 4 cups. Now for the main show: pancakes. Big (like a vinyl record) and extra fluffy. I did enjoy the red velvet the most, and is the only one sized for one person. The other pancake dish we ordered brought 3 pancakes, wich can be a little too much. Anyway, the waitress offered take away containers. If you're more of a savoury person the offer is smaller than if you're a sweet tooth. The offer is mainly egg and bacon based.
If you are very hungry and if you love pancakes, this is the place for you! A cool place with nice atmosphere, good service and a nice staff. We went here to have some breakfast and had heard about the size of the pancakes. We decided to share one order of pancakes among the two of us and we couldn't even finish half of it! The one we had was very tasty. It was tough to choose among the many options on the menu but eventually landed on "Tis the season". Good prices as well considering the large amount of food you get, at least when ordering pancakes. So if you're in the area and starving, visit the Griddle!
Pure gluttony. We loved it. Everything is oversized, so don't be too greedy! You will have boxes for days so be aware if you're a tourist. 1 pancake will do ya or share a 3 stack with your whole family!

LA CAFE REVIEWS
My daughter loves this place and we were in downtown area so I wanted to finally try it. Of course parking is… I parked in red with hazards on. Who knows what delivery people might do. Anyways, I ordered the steak and mushroom panini. It has pesto sauce, arugula, roasted tomato, and Swiss cheese, a focaccia type bread. It also comes with homemade potato chips. OMG!!! Yummy. You can’t have it delivered because it’s not going to be as hot. Man when you take a bite when it’s just finished; it’s like the 4th of July in your mouth. Yes…I know the cliche. Lol. My daughter had a chicken wrap. That’s her favorite so I would have to assume it yummy. This place has allot to offer. Dessert as well. This place also has good customer service. Definite must try!!!
An early morning breakfast stop at L.A. Cafe....a small place with a lot of atmosphere, it's nice to hear staff laughing and having fun. The whole menu is available all day....I had the carne assada wrap...phenomenal, probably the best thing I've eaten in LA. Can't recommend it highly enough. Also had avocado tomato toast sandwich which we asked for no hummus and instead cream cheese. No issue at all and again a nice plate of food. If you're staying downtown, hell even if you're not...come have the wrap.
Food was very good and great price. The restaurant itself is small with limited indoor seats but has outdoor seating as well. The people working there were super friendly and very sweet. My daughter got a macaroon to go and said it was one of the best she’s had
