The staff is absolutely amazing here. Got the 2 meat platter with brisket & chicken. Both brisket & chicken were dry & the chicken was not as tender as I was expecting. Muffin top was amazing. Got sweet corn for my side which was decent. They have fresh lemonade for $2.50(unlimited refills) which was great.
Food was good, Mac and cheese was awesome. I ordered the 2 meat platter and prefered the pulled pork. I love a little more kick to my sauces. My only suggestion would be to turn up the heat on a new sauce. It's everything you want from a BBQ joint.
I so want to LOVE this place, but there’s nothing that just blows me away, but we keep trying. Tried the 1/2 chicken and it was dry and super tiny. Creamed corn was good and the corn muffin tops are always a favorite.

SMOKE IN THE PIT REVIEWS
Quick and efficient. I called ahead and the time was perfect and spot on. Street parking is available and I had no problem finding a spot. Signage is easy to read and very visible. Food was great! Rib tips came with BBQ sauce on the side, I enjoy the fact I had the option to choose how much sauce I wanted to put on my tips. The BBQ sauce came in great portion. Catfish was classic, packaged well with my tips. I didn't have to worry about food being soggy because it was prepared/packaged well. Yams were phenomenal! I will return, I want to see what else the menu has to offer. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the entire experience.
Grew up Southside eating Ted Cooks Scott Ja Mamas Cgs all that, came here first time got ribs and Mac he forgot to add the Mac to the order and threw it in for free. Ribs are juicy and perfectly smoked, homemade Mac hits and the owners son who runs it Dwight was a cool dude. I’ll be back.
Stopped in for the first time recently. The smoked wings had fantastic Smokey flavor. The real highlight of my order was the catfish platter. Perfectly cooked and seasoned catfish. Great service and such a friendly crew.

HOBAN KOREAN BBQ REVIEWS
Hoban Korean Barbecue is such a great and unique dining experience that I highly recommend trying at least once. They have the traditional Barbecue grilling experience with the grill in the middle of your table that you can grill your own meats on. They have a great and delicious assortment of different cuts of meats to choose from. All of the meat choices I've tried have been absolutely delicious. You get a ton of sides and vegetables along side your meats and can make some really cool dishes. The service was great and friendly. Its a fun experience to do with friends or family.
this was SO GOOD! my friends and i came here last night around 9pm. they got us a table quickly (we were walk-ins) and our order was taken fast. the service was amazing, shout out to logan! he made our experience here 10x better. the food was top tier and everything about hoban was just fun. i definitely recommend this place.
Long wait despite having reservations. The food was great, but my only complaint is that they don't warn you when they're out of sauces for tempura or mandu. Those are items only enjoyable with dipping sauce and I wouldn't have ordered them had I known they were out of sauce. Tempura eaten dry is especially terrible. The japchae is the absolute bomb, so delicious.
