I had an appointment to have a chimney cap installed between 11-1. I received a call at 10 from the technician Jeffery saying he was ahead of schedule and would like to come now if it was convenient. He was very respectful, polite and professional and had it installed before the scheduled appointment time. The owner followed up with me right after the job was completed to make sure I was happy. Their customer service is second to none. I Highly recommend A Step in Time.

I'm a first-time home buyer and need to have my chimney's inspected and cleaned. I contacted this company on 7/3 and the person that I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and got me scheduled for a appointment the following day and was an easy process. Advised that I would receive a 30-minute pre-call. My appointment was between 1 pm and 3 pm. The following day I received a phone call from the technician Travis at 11:30 Am advising that he completed a job earlier than expected and could meet me at my house earlier if available. When he came, he was friendly and walked me through the whole process as I was unaware of how a chimney inspection works. He completed his cleaning/inspection within the time frame he gave me and walked me through all the issues that my Chimnies were facing showing me pictures and explaining in detail what each issue meant and why it needed to be repaired. While it was more than what I was expecting to be quoted to repair all the issues, I was aware that my home was older and probably was not maintained as well as it could've been and not familiar with costs so I will assume they are standard. I will need to save up to get the repairs done but overall was very pleased with my inspection and experience with the company and will defiantly recommend them. Rooftop was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We usually support small businesses, but our normal sweep only accepts cash/check & we needed to re-do our crown. They came out for a free second opinion & did a thorough inspection. The report was emailed to us, including photos from the top all the way down through the chimney. We were able to see the lining was cracking, so they recommended replacing that as well. They were not pushy salespeople about it either. The project manager reached out & sent us three separate quotes, which included one package where he was able to include the crown replacement at next to no cost. It took us a few months to commit, given the current economy, but we decided to move forward with the project. They even knocked off a few hundred more with a spring promotion! The whole project was seamless. Payment was easy, and the staff was friendly from start to finish. They explained & answered questions with a smile. The best part, they completed the job on time without any surprises. We will be using them moving forward.

Eber was wonderful! He came during the window of time they gave me when I made the appointment. He was thorough and very knowledgeable. I have two fireplaces which he checked out and provided me information on everything that needs to be done. Looking forward to working with him again on my chimney and fireplace needs!
