HAPPY HOUND PLAY & DAYCARE REVIEWS
All their services are stellar and staff are phenomenal!!! I brought my dog to happy hound so she could socialize with other dogs. The daycare staff has been great introducing her to other dogs and providing advice for what to do when home. On day one, aries didn’t know how to be a dog but the staff slowly introduced her to the other dogs and have been patient with aries. I was happy to get a video of aries playing with another dog. yay!!! When aries was not doing well physically (unrelated to daycare), the staff sent my dog a ‘get well’ card which i really appreciated. I also enjoyed the training they provide. Aries graduated from leash training and the team provides sunday group time for additional training which i so appreciate. The trainers and day care staff have always responded to my questions (either via email or in person) quickly and professionally. Happy hound is awesome. My dog is a happy dog and i’m a happy client.
Wonderful staff, attentive to the needs of my 6 month old puppy. Everyone from the front desk, handlers, and administration, the team does a fantastic job being observant of my puppy’s energy level, conditions, and overall behaviors. There is a friendly vibe and the facility is well kept and very clean. Great range of services offered and convenient location from most east bay locations, with east access from freeway.
Happy Hound did such an amazing job on our Bernese Mountain dog Ava!! Her fur was so soft and tangle free! I will definitely go them in the future.

CANINE COMPREHENSIVE REVIEWS
TLDR: Training with Tobey and Canine Comprehensive far exceeded our expectations and I could not recommend them enough. If you're on the fence, just do it. We adopted our sweet 3-year-old pittie mix Baloo back in 2020 and soon after realized she needed some training. She is so strong and walking her at the beginning was so frustrating, not to mention hard on my body. She could easily pull me across the street and if she saw another dog or a squirrel all bets were off. She demonstrated some resource guarding, plays a bit too hard with other dogs, and while she never tried to actively run away, her recall was on her terms only. Tobey has experience working with staffies and had worked wonders with another friend's dog, so we chose them. And we chose right. Tobey is an incredible dog whisperer. We did 1:1 sessions with Tobey and now Baloo walks right by my side and is a pleasure to walk with. Her resource guarding has markedly improved, she listens to her commands (even if she's pouty about it), and her manners are much better. One of the best parts is Baloo's recall. She is a champ. She recalls out of play, out of barking at the mail person, away from food, on a hike with lots of distractions. It's honestly incredible and I'm so proud of her. Also, Tobey helped us get Baloo healthier. She lost excess weight that she had from when we got her which gave her a much shinier coat and much more energy! It's fun to see Baloo in her finest form. Our goal with Baloo was to have a very good canine citizen because of the stigma against her breed and now we have that! Thank you.
Tobey and her crew are extremely dedicated, intelligent and doting dog trainers. Tobey began working with my difficult puppy—who was too smart for his own good and resource guarded a lot. She showed not only showed tremendous psychological insight into his behaviors but also provided me with varied resources and training plans. She was honest about the challenges ahead, but also incredibly thorough in her planning. There is always a way, in her eyes, even if it requires time. It is clear she deeply loves dogs. It’s hard work training your dog, but Tobey is exceptional at what she does, she transformed my relationship with my dog and provided the tools to have my furry companion thrive alongside me.
My dog was unable to read other dog's signals and unable to settle herself. My young grandchildren were scared to be around her and more importantly she was always hyped up. I enrolled Riley (2 year old Golden Retriever) in the 4 week program and now have a dog that can settle herself, obeys, and no longer jumps on people. It is not cheap; however, the program is 4 weeks long, 24 hours a day training. I would do again for the results we received from the program. Tobey is very pleasant to work with and understands dog behaviour.

MUTT & TUMBLE REVIEWS
My ten year old terrier/schnauzer/pom mix needed some re-training. My dog was very aggressive on his leash and would bark at dogs we passed on our walks. After much guidance and in only two sessions from Bryan. Bryan was able to help us with the right training framework and it has been working. My dog is the best boy on his walks now! Thanks Bryan and Mutt & Tumble!
A year ago, after my dog Suzy, bit my neighbor and drew blood I had to do something I reached out to 4 different trainers, companies that used different philosophies/techniques, pure positive reinforcement, I ended up spending lots of money & time to get the behavior to a point where it was "managable".. It wasnt enough. Suzy regressed & bit a family member out of nowhere! Long story short, I was at my wits end **crying as I type this** & I was going to hand Suzy over to a no kill shelter. I didnt want to do that so I tried one last time That last hope was Mutt & Tumble After literally 6, I say 6 lessons, Suzy was a completely different dog!! I can go on & on but I will say Mutt & Tumble are GIANTS in the dog training scene. I cant thank you enough Bryan & April!!!
I have two mini dachshunds Maple (5months) and Bacon (4yrs). I reached out to Brian to address Bacon's reactivity to the front door and other dogs while on leash. I have appreciated Brian's balanced approach using the e-collar coupled with positive reinforcement. We've also spent sometime on general puppy socialization and training for Maple. Brian is great at pointing out what you're doing right and giving practical advise on areas for improvement (I.e., giving a command once, improving correction timing, body language, etc.). It has been a journey but I have seen improvement in both Maple and Bacon's behavior. Brian touches base every couple of weeks to see how progress is being made and is always available for follow-up training sessions (either at your home or local dog park). I love that Brian has even brought his owns dogs to help work on Bacon's leash reactivity. Highly recommend.
