"Presidio Golf Course is an 18-hole public course that combines challenging greens and picturesque views. Their dedicated staff will assist you in planning all aspects of your event. Robert Wood Johnstone designed the course. Presidio Golf Course was enlarged in 1910 by Johnstone in collaboration with William McEwan, and then was redesigned and lengthened by the British firm Fowler & Simpson in 1921. It is a perfect place to play 6,500 yards of challenging golf winding through Monterey Pine trees and beautiful Eucalyptus in the City's trademark hills. Presidio Golf Course has hosted some of the world's most famous golfers, like Babe Ruth, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Charles Schulz, and Joe DiMaggio.

2026 Update: Presidio Golf Course serves the community with programs and pro-caliber instruction that is customized to youth, college teams, high school, active-duty military, veterans, and the largest women’s golf club in Northern California. The golf course features Ironwood's Bar & Grill."

"Lincoln Park Golf Course is a public golf course that was dedicated to President Abraham Lincoln in 1909. The Golf Course was built initially as a three-hole course, but by 1914, the golf course expanded to 14 holes and then to a full 18 holes in 1917. Lincoln Park Golf Course offers a fair challenge to all levels of golfers. The course's 17th hole has received the highest appreciation reviews, as it offers a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The 18-hole par-68 municipal golf course meets affordability and spectacular views. They offer summer golf camps and golf tournaments, and also hold community events. The golf course also houses picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, the Legion of Honor Museum, and more. Lincoln Park Golf Course has an online tee-time booking facility.

Incredible course! My dad and I played here recently and were super impressed. I love that the course is public. Everything is cared for so well and their practice areas seemed nice too! They range as top tracer technology. Parking is ample too. They also had a 9 hole that we didnt play but was priced very fair. You can see why this course hosted a major for sure! In hindsight, we should have walked the course this day but ended up using a cart. I was impressed with how nice the carts were, but the walk would have been beautiful!!!

An impressive golf course in my city that is worthy of a site for a PGA tournament. The setting is fantastic with a great view of Lake Merced all around. The practice fields are always filled with golfers perfecting their swing on any given weekend even one that steady rain has just fallen. There is lots of free parking too. The Cypress Grill overlooking the 18th tee is a good food option following a round of golf.

Fantastic golf course. The fairways are narrow and feel soft; divots are like hitting through butter. Rough is challenging but fair. Greens are great. You'll know why professionals play here. Pace of play is fast.

PRESIDIO GOLF COURSE REVIEWS

Absolutely gorgeous views, interesting holes, well maintained. Also, right in the middle of the city! Weekdays are best, as it’s cheaper and relatively easy to get a tee time. I DO NOT recommend renting a golf cart unless you struggle physically with elevation. The zones where you can drive the carts are highly restrictive. 100 yards from the greens, and no where near “hills” even when they are not steep. (Usually it’s 30ft) Wonderful course to walk though and I had a great time

This golf course was amazing. The prices were actually reasonable given the amenities and high quality clubs they rent, except for the Irish coffee after hole 8 which tasted very bad, but not a major issue. The views, the scenery, the flora all around was just mesmerizing. Glad I could play a round with some friends. Will definitely try to return when my skills improve to enjoy it as most as I can.

This is an awesome golf course. I rented clubs, they gave me a Qi10 set. Cart, 9 holes, rentals, one beer and a bucket of range balls...... 70 BUCKS :) The views are amazing. Every bolt was picture worthy.

LINCOLN PARK GOLF COURSE REVIEWS

Greens were being worked on but overall one of the most beautiful courses I’ve played on. Golden gate in the background of multiple holes.

A lot of walking make sure you wear comfortable golf shoes a lot of hills but great price in the San Francisco for golf twilight hours

Beautiful public course, hilly, with spectacular views of the ocean and Golden Gate.
