Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square

Upscale, traditional Rittenhouse area hotel. Large rooms, fabulous suites, classic lobby. Steps from many great restaurants on Sansom St and around the Rittenhouse area. Older crowd, quiet elegance, understated bar. Dining room open for breakfast. Rooms have wonderful beds, nice bathrooms, designer toiletries. Romantic, classy atmosphere. Attentive staff.

This was a quick business trip so I didn't get to enjoy the hotel/area as much as I would have liked. However, I was upgraded to a suite and it was so appreciated. The room is well thought out. Robes, slippers, shower cap, good lighting... These things aren't often found in hotels. The restaurant was excellent with exceptional service.

Although the lobby was being renovated and was unavailable, the rest of the hotel was very nice with many services offered by the concierge including free drink tickets due to the appearance. The beds were comfy and mini bar fully stocked with plenty of options.
