Got their lunch buffet with some friends on Monday around 2PM. The chili chicken was amazing! I loved everything I got. Extremely high quality food and a nice variety for the price. You can’t beat it. I’m very glad we stopped here — highly recommend!!! Everyone was so happy with their food and the service. 10/10

The buffets are always a hit! I did hear a few people say they are a bit mild for their taste but I think they are purposefully mild to make it to more accessible tFive of us got together for a Mother’s Day lunch yesterday. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The food at Taj Mahal is always excellent so everyone excitedly filled their plates at the marvelous buffet. As usual each of us was delighted with our meal selections, and yes… all 5 of us went for a 2nd round at the buffet. Although sated by the various delicious entrees, none of us could resist getting dessert. I had a little rice pudding and also tried a sample of each of 3 flavors of homemade ice cream. Coconut was my favorite so I got a full serving. (I’ve added a pic.) We lovethe food and people at Taj Mahal!o everyone. So if you are someone who loves spicy food, then the buffets might be a bit more on the milder side and I suggest getting something off the menu as you can adjust for spice. This time I tried their Taj special biriyani. I was really excited about this biriyani and got medium spice level. It tasted amazing but, it was just way too spicy for a medium. Stopped in for the first time and had the buffet. Lots of vegan options too. They also made us an onion bhajii appetizer. It wasn't on the menu, but they made it special for us. Really good.

People's is my favorite Indian Restaurant in Pittsburgh. Tonight we got the Gobhi Manchurian and Vegetable Samosa's for appetizers. Both were delicious, especially the Gobi Manchurian. My meal was Chicken Makhni and it was one the best things I've ever ordered here. Highly recommend. Dessert was their Kheer rice pudding. I love this so much and order it every time I visit. Its light but full of flavor and perfect to finish off the meal. If you haven't tried People's Indian yet, give it a shot!

Went for lunch with a friend for the lunch buffet and though we got there in the last 30 or 40 minutes, they still have plenty of fresh options on the buffet. Everything I had was good and I really enjoyed the mango lassi they had available as well.

The food is always amazing! Delightful flavors every single time. Very cozy and friendly place. I would highly recommend. The menu has lots of options. They are very mindful of the spice level and ask you everytime so that they can customize it to your tolerance. I have tried their lunch buffet, their app is very friendly which I use to order ahead if I am picking up, and I have dined in for dinner ... they are all great! I would highly recommend it to everyone.

100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a good spot for Indian food. The food was yummy. Portions and value are great. Service was fast. Atmosphere was cozy. I ordered the south indian style goat curry with dal which came with rice. I also got their garlic naan. The curry tasted delicious and the goat meat was tender and not at all rubbery. To my surprise, I also noticed that the goat meat pieces had lots of meat on them compared to bone unlike several other places i’ve tried this dish at. Flavor was on point with everything. For anyone concerned about their spice tolerance, they provided options for mild, medium, and hot spice levels.

Objectively a good restaurant ! I don’t know why there are such crazy reviews on both ends of the spectrum in terms of experience, but I feel like it is a solid place to grab a meal. I had the chicken chettinadu (spice level hot) and it was pretty good. Also tried the chili paneer (spice level medium) , and it was decent. The naan was amazing when it was hot- so-so when it was cold. The mango lassi was very nice as well- I tried a sip of my friend’s, and it was pretty strongly spiced.

Ambience is good. Food is really great. Here the Chicken Biryani is so good in terms of Masala and spiciness. We order other starters like Gobi Manchuria and Chilly Chicken those are yummy. Other order like paper dosa, poori with chole curry are really good. Staff are friendly. OVERALL experience with restaurant is Excellent.
