I love this restaurant and have been going there for so many years now! I live on east side but we go all the way to Seattle to eat here. I am a vegetarian and there are a ton of amazingly tasty vegetarian dishes to choose from. My mom and dad were visiting last year and they were able to accommodate no onion no garlic request in one of the dishes for my parents.. I love complimentary onion/chillies, not that one cant order it but its a nice touch that they care.. Love the atmosphere.

Stopped here on our visit to Seattle. Great atmosphere , wonderful and friendly service, and very tasty food! We had the pesto naan (they added garlic to it for us), mango curry (definitely reccomend!!) and curry specialties (also very yummy!) with lamb for both. They also served us a little snack before and after our meal for free, and the restrooms were very clean (even a little bowl of chocolates by them lol) Great experience overall!!!

All I can say is WOW! This is such an underrated place for authentic, flavorful, and lovingly crafted Northern Indian food! The atmosphere is elegantly subtle and authentic. The food is by far the best Indian food I’ve had outside of India. I’m obsessed and will definitely be back!

NIRMAL'S REVIEWS

Nirmal’s is AMAZING!! They accommodated my 14-person wedding party (we made a reservation far in advance) and all of our allergies / dietary restrictions so well! (We had vegans, vegetarians, people with very restrictive allergies, and people on a doctor-ordered elimination-diet, so we were a challenge for sure.) We spoke with the head chef beforehand to get special meals for those with many dietary restrictions and he was so happy to help. The staff, the owner, and the head chef all spoke to us and checked on us so attentively and genuinely wanted us to have a good time and enjoy everything. They succeeded!! Oh, ya, and the food was DELICIOUS! So were the cocktails. Wow!

"Indian" food is only sort of a genre really and there are so many diverse and different styles and variants I'm not really qualified to comment on it the way I might other cuisines but I enjoyed my curry, the paneer was high quality and the curry itself was rich and thick like a gravy and extremely spicy(not hot but loaded with different spices) in a way I'm not accustomed to but I enjoyed it. The staff was friendly. The dining room was very cool with candlelight and exposed brick. Id recommend this place.

I stopped in on a whim this evening and was delighted by the warm atmosphere, the kind servers, the butter naan and the delicious paneer. The music playing was perfect for a rainy evening. Even the mango lassi was dressed up with a touch of mango syrup!

DAAWAT GRILL & BAR REVIEWS

The quality of food here has just been deteriorating in the last two years. The only thing that is decent is their palak paneer now and then I tried and loved Zaika. Couple of days ago I ordered their gulab jamuns and they were so chewy and dry. Definitely never get this dessert from there. It is supposed to be soft and melt in the mouth. Frozen ones are even better. Absolutely chewy.

I had the chicken tikka masala and lassi. One thing for sure is the portion quantities are large. Chicken tasted fresh, and the masala was good. Lassi I felt was too salty and thick for my liking. No wait time and the service was quick.

A fantastic gem of a restaurant! I ordered the lamb tikka masala and the garlic naan. The naan was nice and crispy, just how I like it, and the lamb was very tender.
