AMAZING! I found our first session to be very pleasant and helpful. John got right down to business and taught us so much about each other in just a few hours! He’s a great listener and very observant! He was great at holding me accountable, understanding my point of view, and addressing the root of my issues. He’s very patient too. I know my fuse is short and I can be a little sassy (not proud of it, just very defensive) but he doesn’t let things escalate! Maybe that’s the New Yorker in him that saw right past my sass, lol. John is so easy to talk to. He's very understanding but gives it to you straight. We use so much of what he teaches us in session and it's really helpful. He gives you videos to watch in session that you can rewatch later and homework and activities to do to strengthen your bond. I truly believe he's saved our relationship on a few occasions. No one likes to admit they might need help. Especially a married couple. Arnold was our savior in getting our marriage back on track. Our marriage had fallen on tough times, but the persistence of Arnold Sell in getting to the root of the problems and the stories behind the behaviors gave us a second chance. His guidance, his patience, and his willingness to be more than just a therapist helped us overcome several obstacles that were holding us back. Admitting there is a problem is step one.
